All of the above comments are correct... people either strongly support or hate Fisher to an extreme! He is a divisive personality who panders to the power structure in the community and could care less about everyone else. He rarely gives credit to those he works with and you'll never hear him use the term "we", it's always "I"! Great examples of his divisiveness occurred when he applied for the Cumberland superintendency and later expressed interest in the Boyceville position when it opened up. The staffs of both high schools supported his candidacy while both elementary staffs went ballistic over the possibility of him being their boss. He was not offered either job.
He was an "out of the box" innovator while at Boyceville. One example: during one inservice day, while elementary teachers worked hard on curriculum updates, Mr. Fisher filled the secondary staff's afternoon with the services of a massage therapist.

I know from experience at least one of the two school boards will never admit a mistake.
Only option left is pull your kids out and choke out the funding. I think both school districts receive around $12,000 per year, per child in funding. If a child is homeschooled they get NOTHING. 3 kids out.. That's a teacher's salary.
There are other schools competing for your kids. Such as: Virtual Public Schools, and Private School, Private Online Schools.. The competition is there.. Most are offering electives that White Lake and Elcho can never dream of having. Most are offering actual college credits for high school students.

Why does Elcho now all of a sudden need two principles? Two principles for a school with under 400 students?

Lance: It pains me to defend Bill Fisher in any way, but from what I've read it doesn't appear that Elcho has expanded its administration. Two people are now part time principals, with various other assigned duties. It was described in the paper as a cost saving measure--centering around not replacing the athletic director.
Anonymous in Cumberland: I don't see a previous post from you, so am very curious what you're referring to when you say, "See what I mean?"

The paper also said enrollment in Elcho is "stable". The state DPI website tells a different story especially with open enrollment numbers.

Wow, White Lake built a 3 million Dollar Rec/gym. Now surprisingly, they are asking for a referendum. Fisher says it a tradition, and the school will close if it doesn't pass. It has been voted on twice now. Everything said in earlier threads is coming true in White Lake, If referendum doesn't pass, Fisher says school will have to close.
He is def. the school board Puppet Master and great deceiver.
