Kids will be the main victims. I think that people everywhere should just get used to the fact that kids will be shot, and as guns are a part of our lives, so will be the loss, get over it and move on.
Chances are if there is a gun in the house it will be used against you at some point. That shouldn't be hard to accept.
Kids are curious and guns will stay loaded. A recipe for disaster, or something we better get used to, and I am leaning toward the "get used to it".

Yeah, kids will continue to be victims as long the statistics show 25 year old gang bangers as kids. Where did you pull that BS about if there is a gun in the house chances are it will be used against you at some point? What an idiot. If that were true then every gun owner should be dead by now, making you happy.
Kids are curious, but then again the article said the shooting was outside the house, and not by someone with a gun in the house - in fact, it was a drive by shooting. The kid didn't have the gun. Either read the article again or think before you spew your carp.
