Ayer selectman answers Public Spirit reports

Full story: Nashoba Publishing

This letter is in response to the three articles and an editorial that appeared in the newspaper on October 23rd unfairly accusing the Board of Selectmen of a "leadership lapse" and unfairly accusing myself of "hubris". Let me begin by saying that the BOS has and continues to work tirelessly to confront the economic challenges of our time by ...

Like many who personally know Mr. Sullivan and the current members of the Ayer BOS I was disappointed in such speculative and unfounded accusations being made about him and them in a previous edition of this paper. I am glad he has taken the time to clear up this matter but disappointed that an incomplete job of reporting and an unfairly and unfounded accusatorial editorial required that he needed to.

This letter is nothing more than a Connie Sullivan save-face spin-speech for his own political purposes. It has nothing at all to do with what is best for Ayer... period

Isn’t it interesting that anonymous is always the preferred attack style (like the previous comment) of those to cowardly to sign their names to untruth.

re: Like many who personally know Mr. Sullivan and the current members of the Ayer BOS

At least Mr. Hughes admits he personally knows Mr. Sullivan. But therein lies the rub, I suggest Mr. Hughes lacks objectivity. After reading the paper's editorial it is even more clear that the paper did their homework. Did Mr. Hughes read it before accusing the paper of being speculative and using unfounded accusations? Based on the posting, I think not.

Reluctantly I tarnish the memory of one of the world's most-loved children's authors but I've been waiting years to say this.....Patrick Hughes is the Marvin K Mooney of Ayer.
Patrick, go back to CA. We will do just fine without you bothering us again. Oh, yes, take Sullivan and your other pals with you.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
