I know these mothers are going to have to live with these situtations from now on and I really do have sympthany for them but having the common sense to have your children in restraints is another and its the law and has been so long there is no reason not to have them in restraints also. I feel like they need to pay dearly their children did.

What is going on in Elbert County Georgia? Two mothers arrested, and two children dead from the act of carelessness and both from the same town and both within weeks apart!! I would be horrified if the D.A. for this county does not seek the maximum sentence!!!

My father was killed in a hit and run accident june 2001 in macon ga.. The guy hit my father slung him on the hood of his car then stopped. slammed on the gas , my father went under the car and was drug 150 feet..the witnesses said they were looking for a female.. two weeks later a male said he did it... was arrested and let out on bond for a year.. then when charged only got 6 years and pleaded first offender.... so he will get out next year and my father will never be here.... i think any kind of way in which you kill someone which is not accidental you should be charged with murder and get the maximum for it....

I agree with your case in this situation, the person driving the car should have been sent to prison. How ever I don't feel someone should go to jaile if they were driving a motor vehical and they were obeying all laws and the accident was unintensional. Maybe it could be road conditioin or something like that that cause the accident and lets say the driver was not under the influience.
If someone is driving a car and slides on ice and hit a tree and die who's at fault

I am the uncle of the young 10 year old boy who was killed by his mother. I have just learned that a worthless judge John Bailey, and a still worthless district attorney sentenenced the mother to $1000 fine and one year probation. This is Elbert County Georgia justice.$1000 for the life of a child.

I for one relesh the thought that this mother, must wake up every day of her life, every day she takes in breath, KNOWING she has killed her son. Knowing her sons life was worth only $1000 dollars.

May this mother live a long and miserable life.

And you judge, and district attorney, when you stand before the almight God, I hope he raises the temperature of hell 1000 degrees above normal!

And we wonder why people have contempt for judges.

If I am not mistaken the mothers in these cases where negletful in both instances the one was charged with driving while under the influence and did not have her child restrained she knew the law and did not abide by it she should have been sent away for a very long time but obviously the judge and DA doesn't think so If this was their child I am sure they would have had a different sentence.

Weather was clear, and daylight. This woman made a consious decision to drive a vehicle while under the influence of stage 3 drugs - This is per the Elbert County charges. 4 children were in the vehicle at the time and NONE were wearing a seat belt.

This woman was sentenced to $1000 and one year probation.

Yes I am filled with rage, disgust, and sickening nausea. Be not deceived, God is not mocked. What soever a man seweth that shall he also reap. God's judgement on this judge and DA is not going to be happy times. Let us pray they live a long and miserable life.

When I'm wrong I say I'm wrong. I was wrong - about the judge in the sentencing. It was not Judge John Bailey (he was the chief judge of superior court) however the sentencing judge was Judge Tyse (probably only has 6 months experience on the bench)- Again I say this judge and da should be thrown out of office!! A thousand dollars again is a vile, abomination for the sentencing of a person who is responsible for the death of a child.

Judge Tyse, D.A. Lavender, you are both a disgrace to the judicial system!!

My friend told me about his nephew who was killed in a tragic accident. And an even greater horror was the sentence this child's killer received.

I can't believe someone was given only $1000.00 and one year probation for killing a child. What is going on in Georgia?

Are these people in authority, qualified to be so? If they are qualified, just what is going on behind closed doors? Makes one wonder about these small towns where the tree does not fork but once.

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Cancer

Today's New Moon in your sixth house reminds you not to neglect your health or general well-being. It's the ideal time to arrange a check-up with your doctor or dentist, or to follow up a medical query. Cancerians love yummy food, and the festive season is hardly the best time to start a diet, but you still might want to monitor your calorie intake.
