VERY interesting....my wife and I were floored when we got our bill this month. We understood that we went through a frigid spell, but we heat AND cook with gas. The only extra draw on the blower for the furnace. Has any noticed these increase seem to coincide with the installations of the new digital meters? It seems to have been that way for us. My brother in Barren County said his went up $100 as well. Is it coincidence that so many people have seen very similar increases OR was there an not-so-publicized rate increase? There is a "TVA POWER COST ADJUSTMENT" that added $35.95, but that still doesn't explain the full jump.
this is the truth and i tell it like it happen.
about 3 months ago my bill was realy high.
and said they will put on a checker on my meter.well that called me about 8 days later and sais my meter is ok and advice me to check for a problem in my house.
so i told them i would have it check out to day..
the real truth i did not a thing ..
but ever since then my bill droped 50-60 %.

my water last year keep getting higher by the month($80. plus it had jump),my norn water bill is about $50-80 now it had got up to $180+.
they said the commode was the problem..
the truth is did nothing but tell them i would fix the commode.
well it drop back to about $60.

now remember i did nothing but tell them i would have them fix(water and my elect.)
last month by elect bill was $110.
my water stays about $50-$70.but was running around $180.
the real truth is just tell them you are having the problem fix and your bill will go back to its norm..my bill did..
ps commode still makes that funny noise but i have not touch it as for as working on it..i just shit in it..lol

The thing is, my December bill had 34 days on it....And they are supposed to use your deposit to credit your bill if you have not been late. They did my mom's and sister's like that. they say you have to live at your residence at least 2 years and not be late. Well, I did both, they credited my bill with $6...big whoop. My mom and sister both had bills that they had negative numbers on them....when are we gonna get a break from anything....????

My electric bill went up to $426 this last month. When I called about it they just told me that we had some cold weather. We have had much colder weather in years past and I have never had such a jump of over $200 in one month--NEVER!!! I asked about the extra TVA part and they told me that it had been like that since OCT-- maybe or maybe not never had noticed it before, but I have never had to look so close to my electric bill!!! Is there some agency that can look into this huge increase in everyone's bill?????

We live outside of Glasgow and FRECC is our company.
Our bill for the past 2 months has been right at $300.
Unbelievable.
And, we are really careful about not leaving lights on in rooms we're not in, keeping the thermostat set at 68 degrees, etc.

Wasn't WRECC going away from TVA to maintain "lower rates"?
WRECC and BGMU are ripping us off. The increase was supposed to be because of fuel cost but now that fuel is back down no such decrease in electric rates have been forthcoming. What a bunch of "CROOKS".

That's funny, a majority of you state your electric bill increased by $100.00. So did mine. The month before my bill was $159, and this past month was $259. What's up with that? On WBKO thay made the comment that they were not able to read alot of the meters, so they estimated and we would see the difference on the next bill, but I bet we don't.

Nope because my mom and dad were out of electric for 8 days, had a $350 bill for that month because they estimated. Got the other bill in and now it hadn't gone down maybe $20...

I have been battling with WRECC since i got the bill for Jan. which was $410.00 the one before was 140.00 and this last one was 180.00. Whats up with that. I am a single mother with 3 kids and have a final bill of 483.00 to pay only because they took 100.00 off for my deposit. I moved at the end of Feb. and have been calling and calling WRECC but can't seem to get a straight answer out of anyone. Something else that is funny, called community action to see if i could get help with the bill and they said to bring in past due notice. WRECC said that they could not give past due notices on final bills and said they could write on it that it was past due. So i called community action to see if that was ok and they said it would not work it had to be computer generated. What a bunch of bull. Now what do i do? I guess i'll just go without electricity.
