Looking For a New House
Ready For Something New

My roommates and I have recently decided to move out of our current residence. While I love the house, I'm not too fond our location and rent price. We would like to find a place in a good part of town, with a decent rent and a good landlord. We are quiet upperclass WKU students-all females, we have 2 house trained dogs(Golden Retriever and Cairn Terrier) and 2 cats, we all three have decent jobs and wouldn't have an issue making sure rent and utilities were paid. If necessary we can also maintain the outside of the residence. We definitely would like a house, but would go for a townhouse or relatively nice apartment.
Here's the musts:
Pet friendly- willing to pay a pet fee if not too high
Hardwood is preferred. I think it's easier to maintain
Budget not to exceed $700 a month, but preferably less.
Would like to move in by February 1st if deposits and applications are taken care of.
2 or 3 bedrooms please!

We've been 'screwed over' in the past, so while a landlord is always cautious, we are very cautious as well. I know Topix is probably not the best place to post this, but we like to keep all channels open. If anyone knows of any good places, we're willing to check it out. Please only serious replies.

What area are you in now/wanting to move from? I have some potential properties available depending on area you are looking for and can work with you on price and pets. Would you be breaking your current lease/able to get a favorable reference from your current or previous landlord?

Hi Amy-
We currently live on in the Jennings Court area(right behind Morgantown Road Wal-Mart). Too much unsettling foot traffic. We had an issue with our landlord due to a previous roommate that is no longer part of the household, but can absolutely provide references if necessary. If you would prefer to to correspond via e-mail, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] .edu and I can send my phone number as well through there.
Thank you so much for your response!

Just don't rent from Jason Mills or any of the properties he is affiliated with, or Tommy Craft (H&H Rentals).

Chandler has a good reputation, but of course you are going to find people who might have had some issues with Chandler. Good luck.

Where could I find properties you have available? I am also looking for a similar property (rent/bdrms) within the Bowling Green City School District but have had no luck finding decent rental property in a nice neighborhood.

I had a really good experience with Chandler. They have apartments and houses...some in really quiet settled parts of the city, yet not far from campus. Saw one a week or so ago on Nutwood or Magnolia. The nice end.

I've heard mixed reviews about Chandler, mostly negatives toward the management. I've not had the opportunity to see the inside of any, but would definitely be interested in looking at some.
