yea,and the good honest hard working dedicated employees are supposed to support and protect the slackers and sluggard union "brothers" even if it causes production problems, profitability and evential closing or moving.

I would say chances are good that if the union comes in that the folks in Germany will shut this plant down.Hope fully I am wrong.I don't work out there any more so my only concern is that I hate to see BG lose these jobs.I definitely understand the complaints as it was one of the worst jobs I have ever had and it really had nothing to do with the work itself. Whichever way it goes I wish the employees luck.

Union will do absolutely no good for anyone in that plant! I don't understand why anyone would want to even consider signing a card! Especially knowing that if it goes through your sending EVERYONE'S job to Mexico. I have mouths to feed and shoes to put on there feet. Sounds like I may be one of the few but I'm actually happy working there, haven't had a problem with anyone in there.

They think union is going to do something for them but they dont relize that if they get it that the company will be more stricter than they r now. When people start getting wrote up for being a couple of minutes late from break or standing around talking when they should be working they'll wish they hadn't voted for it. All I can say is if you hear them talking about union give you opion againist it.

That is exactly true when the contract comes if break is over at 4 it's over. There is no excuses. Ppe, production rates the hole thing gets put on paper. Neither you or the supervisor have any latitude on decision the contract is the law. So before signing a card or voting yes ask your self how often do I it my run rated. Now I'm sure someone is gonna post on here we will negotiate the run rates. And they may some what be true. Any business is not going to agree with a production schedule that requires them to loose money. So if they need a hundred union says no 50 hire another person. The company will have to say no. Any good business is out to make money, first and foremost they make money to stay open. They have to beable to pay for the overhead costs. If anybody on here works for a company that is not trying to make money quit now for they will not be open long and you and everyone one else will be flooding the job market at the same time. At this time you should be asking your self do I know how to do any thing other that run this machine? Look on line for brake builders with 20 years experience, let me know what you find. The second reason a company tries to make money is for profit! Shortly I'm sure there will be a post stating share the profit! I would make this statemant to that person if you want to share in the profitt share to the business or open your own business. Bendix is not just in BG! If the other plants make money and BG looses were does there profit go? To our plant as it has for the last few years. There is a lot of things that need to be fixed! The union is not the correct tool for this problem. The correct tool is communication! I would say that NOW the office is listening, talk! And please don't say that the union will give us a voice. I have never meet anybody in the plant that could not talk.
Thanks for reading
Oh yeah and as someone before me stated lets not fight amongst ourselves.

No union negotiates a run rate, that is an engineering function. Period! If run rates state 50 an hour then it's 50 an hour, contract does nothing for that. With a contract you get to have someone to pay to try to get you out of a write up for not running at rate. And if you are running at rate and not coming back from break late you get to pay someone to do absolutely nothing for you. You people talking strike, really! How you gonna drive from Glasgow to picket when you got no money to afford gas? How you gonna pay for groceries, stuff for your kids? And if you do strike, customers move their product cause we are not delivering, they could care less if we are union. In fact they hate suppliers being union, they are forced to get back ups just for this reason, therefore they just go with the non union supplier. Let's talk benefits and pay, a company can and will most likely start off with no benefits, no holidays, and minimum wage when unions are voted in. Then it's negotiated as to what pay is, do you really think they are going to give you what you got now, all Dana employees are now not senior, you start off at zero with first person in alphebetical order being senior. Yes this sounds like the plan I want.

Ive thought about this most of the day and to be honest it hasnt bothered me nor was I going to reply, but i feel that you need to understand something. Its easy to hide behind a computer and down talk everyone when you think no one can find out who you are, but the great thing about technology is that no one can hide.not even you.I may have passed my sports prime and moved on to another point in my life but I do so with options. what do you have? I am for this for the simple fact that I believe in fairness. you give me a fair deal, Im good with that. the hard working people that I see everyday while riding around getting cardboard, on my own schedule, free of a supervisor over my shoulder and no set numbers to hit, deserve fairness. Its not enough to offer someone a wage and tell them to work for 30 years and never give them a thing else. No personal time off, no sick days off, no cost of living increase, nothing.whats fair with that.I believe in being paid what youre worth, being paid for your value. those are the simple things that I know a negotiation can bring about. i know i wont be there to see the full affect of a union, but it doesnt stop me from standing up and being accounted, for those that dont have those options. Now for the personal attacks.Im sure Connie looks better than that person you have to lay beside every night, knowing you have to come back in there the next day, and Im sorry Candice wouldnt lower her standards to give you the time of day, and Julie whose kids and husband love her but as kids do sometimes make decisions that go against all we ever tried to teach them, make you realize that you have kids and family that dont care or love you at all, and Im sorry you feel inferior to Tonie's intellect since you called him a "dumb ass hillbilly" but you probably are quite dumber than him since you can even spell Globetrotter.and then there me being washed up and trying to sleep with any girl that i talk to..Im sorry that maybe your wife or girlfriend mentions my name more than youre comfortable with, and Ive never been "stuck" anywhere because Ive given myself options unlike yourself. So "laugh at us everyday" for now...like I told you with technology all things come to the light. One other thing about being a washed up former player is the people you meet and washed up large contracts you get, so the money I paid to hire a very good IT investigator to track down your IP address(every computer has an unique one, like a fingerprint) to find out who you are will be well spent. and if you work at bendix, when you see me walking toward you with Gene behind me, please know Im not coming to have any conversation whatsoever, Im going to slap the holy taste out of your mouth and let Gene walk us both out...hope you have options punk, cause when im coming at you, you are going to need a union behind you then.
Yes it did bother you. You say you hired some one lol. I can make it look like anyone posted my comments. Your options cardboard, trash or wood?"

It's very obvious to me who one of you is. You smile and talk to these people, and then cut them down to their backs. If you don't want to be talked about and reprimanded, you shouldn't put yourself in a position to be done so! It is also obvious that you and your sidekick on here are unhappy, bored, insecure, cowardly and childish....to say the least. Why not tell these people to their faces what you think of them? Before you post messages to the public, you should learn to spell, puctuate and use your grammar correctly! I thought one of the requirements for Bendix employees was to be a high school graduate. I cannot understand how you made it through grammar school. You should both be ashamed of yourselves. You'd better be finding a good hiding place, because when Candace and Otis find out who you are, you're going to need one! Otis is not just blowing smoke when he says it would be easy to track you down.... and if one of these people you have slandered wants to press the issue and hire a lawyer, you could be sued for slander. Some things are against the law. Sit down, shut up and stop trying to ruin everybody's life!

What do you think the unions going to do? Maybe them and the rest of the union people should shut up and sit down. Stop trying to ruin the lives of the people that work there. If they can't handle being called a name maybe some of them should stop the name calling and gossip spreading on the floor.

The Aetna insurance and Prudential short term is a joke. It's a disgrace for any company to offer Aetna. Ask your primary care physician or specialist and they will agree. The benefits have to get better!

Aetna,Prudential, and United Health Care are no match to BC/BS but they are cheaper. What are YOU willing to contribute to get better coverage and lower deductables?

Why not include the management folks too? Are they organizers going to stir up lies, bullshitz and meaningless rabble that management make take offence to? That meeting will have all the air and ambiance of an old fashioned Ku Klux Klan gathering. Only the burning cross, guns, tar, and feathers will be missing.
