Who would be a good attorney for an older woman getting a divorce? Long marriage and husband wants a divorce. Another woman involved. Not living together and he has no compassion or contact. Losing money is his worry. No young children. Have no retirement income.

I used david keen. He seemed to be a very nice religous man. He will make sure you get what is fair to you and he is very resonably priced.

That's funny. David Keen? Seriously? Use him only if you plan on settling in a no more then 2 court dates. After that he will quit returning your emails and phones. Just a thought. And he wants you to agree to everything the other party wants to make him look good and make it easier for him.

I agreed with mommy! David Keen uses religion to reel you in, then screws you over! He wasted my time over a very important case involving my daughter. He shows up to court late, if you ever get a court date, dressed like a slob, then flirts with the women in there while you sit and wait on him. I ended up having to hire a lawyer from somewhere else, and my good lawyer actually did what was needed, and said David seemed like an idiot. Please please do not use him!!

Also--- just as mommy said, he doesn't return phone calls, and never ever has time for you.

He told me that he was going to file paper work to modify visitation and it never got filed. After many phones calls and emails to him I ended up using somebody else. He was so-so on or first court date, but that was about it. He wanted me to give in to every thing me ex wanted. It was like he was on my ex's side when I was the one paying him.

it was like he was telling me there was no hope or something!! I think he just doubts his own abilities so he makes us feel wrong! When I was using him, he suddenly got a new secretary, the gay guy, bc he was sleeping with the old sec and his wife found out. Who knows if that's true though. Funny a gay guy replaced her lol

that's funny. I wondered why he went through so many secretaries. He had 3 when I used him and I only used him for about 2 months. When I started using him he had a lady secretary, and then the gay guy and then another lady I think. And then he didn't have one and he quit returning my calls and emails. But oh well. His loss. Someone else got my $$ and I got some of what I wanted instead of what HE wanted. Just a thought...maybe he was doing the gay guy too. Lol

Well we only had two court dates an no he wasnt best about returing calls and he is flirty, but he got me full custody with visitation for my husband only if and when i said so, 750 a month in child support, 185 a month for alimoney and 237 thousand dollars of our money and everything in our home except for tools and the lawn mower. I could have gotten more of the money in our account which was pretty good and he suggested i go for it an that he could get it for me but I decided that I didnt want to. So he did pretty well for me. And I only had to pay 600 he made my ex husband pay the rest for the divorce

I do not know him personally, but I hear that theres a Lawless at ALPO and he does an excellent job for someone that I know. He has taken her ex to the cleaners, and I mean the cleaners. Check him out. If I was looking I would look at him first.

Thanks for the help. I had heard about Joy Denton and Steve Thornton. Seems like both are either liked or disliked. Some have told me Joy Denton is the best in town. I always thought maybe it was better to have a man lawyer to help a wife. I think my divorce is going to be rough because of money and how easy it was for him to say he wants a divorce and move on with his life. I didn't know David Broderick took divorce cases. I have heard of the others mentioned, but don't know anything about them. I was told about a lawyer named Lawless. I think his name is Paul Lawless. Do you know more about him? I need somebody tough, but somebody I can talk to easily. Lawyers make me feel like I don't know much and I need lots of advice. Divorce isn't fun at any age, but for sure not when you are 60.
