I just ate at Mariah's for the first time Saturday. Wasn't to thrilled with it. I was good though. It just seemed like any other restaurant. I really love Lonestar. They have the great chicken sandwhiches. I get the willy chicken. You get your moneys worth too. That sandwhich is huge.

we had an olive garden before and it closed down; very sad and I wish we had another one. Montana Grille is really good - their spicy cornbread is incredible! Best steak in BG in my opinion.

Mariah's is so over-rated. I positively believe that I have never had anything decent there to eat and I have eaten there quite often, I only go there because its close to work and it seems to be the "it" place. They need to quit bragging on themselves because they would get crushed in terms of food quality in other cities. They only have success because of the lack of non-chain restaurants in Bowling Green.

I never understood why Olive Garden closed. Its been gone 7 years this August, almost as long as it lasted (1993-2001).

The barbeque place that replaced Olive Garden in BG is owned by the same company. For some reason they thought we would go for a that type of place.

I personally liked Olive Garden and have never gone to it's replacement.

You guys are so right on Mariah's. It's over rated and over priced. I have no idea why anyone would even want to eat there.

I was there for a baby shower. It costed me $18 dollars just to feed me and my daughter that got the kids meal and I got a water. I ordered her a chicken finger plate with fries and she got 2 little tiny fingers. What I had was no biggy either. It was so packed there that they were making table space out in the halls. I don't see the big deal with the place. I personally won't go back. Like I said I was just there for a baby shower. I don't even want to think about how much it would have costed if I took my husband and son with us. I like places where you get what you pay for and this isn't one of them cause we totally over paid.

has anyone ever been to Kyoto diner? It's over there by the old starbucks. I like it. My husband and I can go there and get great service, good good, and not too much out of the pocket. I also think Red Lobster is wonderful.
I agree about Mariah's. It's a nice place to eat but it's too pricey.

Went to Smokey Bones last night the service was great, I have ate at several of there restaurants in Florida, my only complaint was everything was extremely spicy, even the corn! Is the restaurant in BG usely this spicy or was this an off night, if it's like this all the time, we will probably try the one in louisville, want to know??
Also where is Mariah's and what kind of food? Price? and where are they located?? Thanks

Try Tersea's, it is home cooked food. Breakfast and lunch only. Not open for dinner.

O'Charlie's isn't bad either. If you like big buffalo chicken fingers then I suggest you hit Motor City.

O'Charley's and Applebees are good. Friday's is a good one as well. I went to Smokey Bones once a long time ago and wasn't thrilled. Rafferty's BBQ is better.

Longhorn is great, never had a bad meal there.
Mariah's is ok, but I don't like their selections that much, grilled chicken salad is good though.

Judy's Castle is another over-rated local joint.

They only are over because they are one of the few home cookin places around in BG, but you can get a lot better veggies at places in the surrounding counties since Bowling Green tends to cater to more of the Sports Bar crowd.
