Does anyone know what a food stamp card looks like? I know it looks like a debit card, anyone know the colors? I know many use them to buy steaks, ribs, etc, the stuff most of us don't get to eat. I also don't think they should be used for fast food, that is wasting tax dollars. Thanks.

Foodstamps cannot be used at fast food places. Second of all Foodstamps are a estimate amount of how much it will take to feed you or your family for the whole month based on your income, or lack there of. Third of all if someone with Foodstamps wants to buy steaks for one night to have a decent family meal then so be it another night can be replaced with ramen noodles. It's none of your business what one does with their Foodstamps Wether "tax dollars" pay for it or not. Quit worrying about having a damn steak on your table and consider it feeding the less fortunate.

How is any of your business what someone is buying for dinner? Let me guess... You're someone who has never been down on their luck and needed assistance?? So you want to look down your nose at people that are less fortunate than you. That is just awful.

I have no problem with those who need food stamps getting them, I used them years ago. From what I understand now, fs can be used to buy heat n eat foods, like those $3 burgers from a mint mart, I DO NOT think that is what they should be used for. I know McDonald's and other fast food restaurants are pushing for fs use at the restaurants, that is what I was meant in the other post, that isn't right.

Steaks?? Yes its their fs, but for those who lie/cheat to get them, its BS. They drive carsvworth 20 thousand, have 5000 in gold on, have wheels/tires that cost 3500, more than most Americans car are worth, all this is BS.

Years ago I worked at houchens, cashier and bagger. I seen alot of BS then also. Carried fs groceries out to many nice cadillacs. I remember one lady, bought around $200 in meat, we asked if she was cooking out, she said no she uses her extra fs to feed her dog...true story and BS.

This is partially every tax paying American business, waste, abuse, fraud of tax dollars for liars and crooks. I know many now will sell you their fs bought groceries for less than half for cash, since they can't sell the booklets anymore. Why should crooks and liars and dogs get to eat like kings on uncle Sam's money? Do YOU want to pay for it??

Of my input, I'll be paying taxes for people Who have Foodstamps and need them as well as people who have them, don't need them, and sell them. Of course i feel a few more things she be considered when giving someone the priveledge of Foodstamps. For example: Adress, Mobility, Background check, Number of Children, Drug test, and Job status like where they work, how many jobs they have applied at where and when, if no job, why.

We live in a Republic. You don't make the decisions about who gets food stamps or what they spend them on. Your elected officials make that call. Best thing you can do is go to the polls and vote for the candidate of your choice.

Why would you want to know what one lloks like?? Are you planning on stealing one?? I understand somewhat how you could be a little upset at someone getting t-bones. You can't buy alcohol on them, but you can buy the margirita mix which I don't really agree with. I also worked at houchens before by the housing authority. I saw many with hundreds of dollars in food stamps and then buy beer and cigarettes. But its like one of the others said. If they spend them all in one week on ribs and steak, they're eating ramen noodles the rest of the month! I know when I worked at houchens, the first few days of the month, we got slammed with people who had just gotten their foodstamps. But then we don't see them the rest of the month hardly. And I have been on foodstamps before. And everyone once in a while its nice to have a really really good meal.

Why even worry about other people. Just worry about yourself and your family. Everyone pays taxes and we will pay them for ever if we like it or not...and its not just for Fs.

If you think they are legitimately scamming the system then report them. I don't agree with people selling them or using them if they don't need them. I knew someone who was unemployed, so therefore they qualified for them. They would sell them every month to supply their drug habit. Then feed their kids the 5 pound bags of cheap cereal and hot dogs for the rest of the month. One day the 10 year old was home alone watching the toddler and two babies, and she came over to my house asking for food because she was hungry and mommy was gone. I called DSS right away. We have to stand up for what we believe in, and stop all these drug addicts from abusing our fragile system.

Well, my boothangs family uses a foodstamp card, and I had no idea what it was. So when we were at the store I asked him what kind of card that was cause I had no idea what it was. And it looks like an American Flag. I hope this helped you, instead of people giving you their opinion on Foodstamps. Good Day(:

Thanks.
Those who get them and deserve them and don't sell them, great, glad your getting help. Be warned, Romney will cut them, make it very hard to get fs. The money saved will be given to the rich.

It IS my business, and all others who pay HIGHER taxes to support all these worthless, lazy p.o.s. welfare rats. If your on welfare, you should kill yourself. Please.

Seriously Carkie? You're a moron. I just started my own business (the American dream remember?) and as of right now I actually qualify for Obamacare AND foodstamps. That's on top of the other 2 part time jobs I have. I don't consider myself a 'welfare rat'. I was actually against Obamacare...but now? hell, Ill take it. I hope my business does well so I don't have to use either. but for now....

Cark you are a true ASSHOLE. How could you say things like that about people who fall on hard times just because. Life is not fair. Bad things happen to people, but it is not always there fault. Some don't have family and friends to go to for help. You need to think before you speak because, REMEMBER THERE IS A GOD AND ONE DAY THIS COULD BE YOU.

Can I use a food stamp card to buy really thick hard sausages and some nice buns to slide it into?
