I know the bridge has washed out, but what are the stories of going down there now to where the old bridge used to be.

I'd like to know too. I heard the things in that area are very sinister.

There have been sightings of an apparition walking through the air where the bridge used to be. There is also the voice of a young girl that will tell you to get out. I've seen these myself on Halloween many years ago.

I haven't been back at night, but even in the daytime it's weird. There's no life. There's a grave yard and of course that girl was murdered in the 50s. Also Satanic groups worship there.

WELL DAMN... dont know who spook is... but he seems to hit the nail on the head. I heard about the group years and years ago. My parents went there back when they were dating... a long long time ago... back then you could pull down the road and park. They got scared real bad. They never went back. Also... i have been down there in the daytime... yeah its strange feeling.... and yes the cemetery is up on the hill side. There is a grave there of the first male child born in ky or soemthing... dont recall the whole story...it was on the marker.. not sure if you can read it now or not.... i sure as hell would go there at night alone... or un armed... heavy armed...

There's a reason they closed the road to down there. I grew up on that side of town, it has it's share of murders, suicides, and haunting s. Go read about the Martin murders.

I've personally experienced a bunch of paranormal activity at the graveyard that's close by. I got thrown through the air by something invisible that growled in my ear, and then hit me like a truck.

The Grave Yard is pretty ancient for these parts......One of the headstones of a man who died in the late 1700's states "First White Man Born This Side Of The Green River". The main graveyard is surrounded by Slave graves....and if you sit in darkness within the stone circle at night, you will definitely see shadow-people walking around the outside.

As for the satanic groups.....I've taken part in a ritual there, but it wasn't "satanic", it was Wiccan. Satanists are largely figments of Christian imagination. If you don't believe in God, you can't believe in Satan....and if you chose to worship Satan, then you might as well just come to terms with the fact that you're simply rebelling against Christianity, and there are more constructive ways to do that. If you read the satanic bible, you'll see that it's more "HUMANist" than actually "Satanic".

the whole area is definitely very "active". I've seen more shadow people and phantom lights in that area than anywhere else....and it's the only place where something has actually touched me. Civil war post 114 used to stand just up on the Hill that is now the Cumberland Ridge Subdivision....and it was REALLY active before they pulled it down 14 or so years ago. The site where the house stood still has residual energy that you can feel if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.

Be careful if you go there though, trespassing is illegal after all. ;-)

It's easy to link non-Christian rituals all together as Satanic, and is incorrect. I did hear a story though, of a warlock who caused another man to fall to his death rock climbing with a curse there. I personally heard a voice tell me to leave when I witnessed a ceremony there on Halloween.
