Re:Hubba....why do many people do things they are suppose to/not do?? Sure the helmet may have saved him his injuries but are you perfect? Can you walk on water? WE ALL make mistakes.
FYI: Chris/Shane is doing some better today and is coming around enough that he is trying to hold his mom's hand today.
Hubba...next time you speak...make sure you are perfect before you do??

BGPD recieved a call of a wreckless motorcycle on interstate drive about 7 minutes prior to him wrecking. He was not wearing a helmet. Life flown to Vanderbuilt I have no further information.

I really do feel for Chris, he is going to be going through an extremely rough time in the future. I am not glad or happy in any way that this has happened to him. I would like to know why his helmet was on the back of the bike and not on his head, and why he wasn't looking straight ahead, but instead looking back at the Shell Station? He did accelerate at a high rate of speed as soon as he pulled out. There were many witnesses who saw this wreck happen. I being one them. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that he wasn't the only one who has been affected by this accident. The other person involved in the collision was affected by this as well. Anyone who was there had to have seen the torment that was going through her when she saw Chris lying there on the pavement. Even though this accident was just that, an accident. When you have someone already crossing over to pull into the station and a motorcycle pulls out going that fast, there isn't any way to stop it. Both of these families should be in our prayers. Basically, everyone out there riding a bike, please take every precaution you can to keep yourself and others safe. These vehicles are not toys, they are very dangerous, and this can happen to anyone. I have had several occasions to where I almost hit people on motorcycles because they are usually acting stupid. I'm not in any way saying that Chris was acting stupid. Like I said he is in my prayers. I just wish everyone would start being a whole lot more careful.
sorry chris

Whether your in a car, on a plane, or on a motorcycle, you're never completely safe, but there are still so many people out there who think nothing can happen to them. I never have gotten on a motorcycle without a helmet. After seeing a motorcycle wreck happen, I was convinced I would always have mine on.

If I have to wear a seat belt in a vehicle, then motorcyclists should have to wear a helmet.

The only reason for the seatbelt law was to give police the right to pull you over if they suspect you have drugs! Routine traffic stop I believe is what it's called. Along with not using a turn signal or not coming to a complete stop. At the same time it also puts money into the courthouse with 'court cost'! If was about safety then the helmet law would be in effect too! Just saying...
