I'm one! they say 189.00 a window lol that's all you get is a window no insulation, you have to pay for the window stripes that I thought came with a window.$$$$$$$$$ 189.00 is far from the real price.. make sure you ask total price and watch for all the extra stuff they throw in.

Yep.. That would b them. Ive been fighting with them over their obligations to install my windows for 3 months and I still have an unfinished house, which, I can't move into to. Also their framing work sucks. Got a leaking window and it's also crooked, lol this company is a big joke!

Its probably a good thing that he's an ex, because everyone that I've delt with at the company are liars.

Colors are available but the standard color is white but they demand an $11.00 adder per window for white. Go figure.

Not yet. I'm having work done in the spring. I had an estimate on my mother' house in an older subdivision where all the houses with original wood windows were pretty well shot. Of all the independents and Window World installations in the neighborhood, WW did the best fit and finish. The local company is a franchise owned by somebody locally. If you have CONCRETE evidence with paper and facts and pictures that the windows are not up to par at your location, contact the main company and air your valid complaint. They will get involved and fix the problem.

Of course.. I have tons of pics before and after. I have pics of crooked framed window/leaky window, cracked vinyl siding and wood rot everywhere and mis matched windows. I have spoke to the owner of window world and he said that it would all be taken care of and has now backed out of that, so I called headquarters in nc and he hasn't gotten anything done either. If I were you and wanted windows put in right and the rot replaced the way it should b and not patched over and half done. I would not choose these people to do anything! And if u do go with them read the contract. Do not take their word on anything.

This is a Bowling Green Forum and never in the 8 years that the Bowling Green store has been opened have we charged a customer $11 for white windows. We don't even have an $11 option on our contract!

If you're referring to the difference between $189 and $200 for your windows...that's called tax. However, we don't charge any tax on any labor or added option to the windows.

The owner (me) is waiting on the customer to call into the office so we can coordinate a time to meet with the installer, sales rep and myself. In the mean time the customer called the corporate office to get me in trouble? I don't know the motivation there. I can see if I said I'm not doing another thing to your house why you'd be mad and post this on the web or call our corporate office on me. Exterior wood rot as per contract is not the same as rotting in the framing of the wall. I will do what it takes to please a customer but in the end we are a window company and not a construction company. If it was our job from the beginning to replace all this wood and framing then why did the "contractor" frame up 3 windows to begin with. I'm not going to risk replacing a top plate in a wall and the wall come crashing down because the customer feels that's "our responsibility" but I will work with any customer of ours to come up with a reasonable solution so that both parties are content in the end. Bear in mind, every time I do that for a customer I ending up paying for that solution. I'm not an unreasonable man and I don't appreciate the comments on this site when they're not true.

Thank you for your support of Window World. It's refreshing to see positive comments on this site. I don't have many negative comments about us but it seems like Topix is a chance to air everybody's frustration. How about using it for positive comments like you did? Didn't everyone's mother tell them "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"? Mine did. If you have a legitimate complaint call me. I will work with anyone to find a reasonable solution to your problem.

The "owner" is right about one thing, he does keep his mouth shut, too bad his mother didn't teach him other things! He has no communication skills, no business skills, and apparently can't even read a tape measure! Most of the installers are very unprofessional (cursing on job sites), don't have proper license and insurance, and seem to be under qualified for the job. I've seen several jobs in my neighborhood done by Window World and all i can say is you get what you pay for: Cheap windows, shotty installation, and horrible service. I've seen what my neighbors have gone through with this company and if it was my hard earned $$ being spent on windows, i'd make sure to get them somewhere other than Window World. From what i hear they are in a serious financial crisis and probably won't be around much longer anyways.(What good is a lifetime warranty if the company goes out of business?)

We were very satisfied with our Window World experience. They replaced all the windows and exterior doors on our home. We did initially have some problems with the doors, and the owner did work with us to make sure everything was resolved to our satisfaction. The window prices were as advertised, the installation was professional and fast, and we haven't had any problems in two years. If I need any windows on my next house, I won't hesitate to call them back.

I tell u why I put the post up and that is to warn people of all the lies u and your company tell, just to sale windows. And yes.. I did call corporate. Because I had already met with u and you said that u would fix the rot and then a month later say that u cannot. Get your self together and quit saying things that you have no intentions on doing. And we fixed 3 windows because you were only fixing 10 on contract. That's why! You and your company shouldn't have taken on a job that u couldn't complete. Like framing windows..1500 dollars for framing 3 windows. They are crooked and leaking.

Well the problem, Phil, is there is nothing positive to say about bg window world. And my mom always said, to stand up for whats right! And I do have legitimate claims. My house is worse off now then before u and your "crew" showed up.
