Bg friendly advice wrote: We wish all the new salespeople nothing but success in these hard financial times. However, you are shooting yourself in the foot every time you lie to a BG business person about the circumstances surrounding Kathy G's departure from Forever Comm. At lunch today several of us businesses compared notes on what we have been told about Kathy quitting to escape manager abuse. That's what happened no matter what they tell you. And she is happier and healthier for getting out. First, Kathy did not retire so stop telling us that as the first lie left on voicemail. One lady in particular had her voice played back by 3 people in one lunch saying Kathy has retired. J will not be getting her calls returned unless Kathy tells us to personally and beer is involved. Don't listen to your managers if they are telling you to lie like they did when he first called trying to cover the budget. Try "Kathy is no longer with the company, and I am your new contact." We all lose people in business, but you are going to try to fill the comfortable shoes of a trusted lifelong friend who just happened to sell radio ads. Kathy will be back selling in BG someday soon and alot of us will buy whatever she is selling. Kathy is not retired. She quit in extreme anger about the treatment from management. Deal with it. And have a nice weekend. well well

Idiots make me money! The suspense is killing me. What's the big news??? Really, who cares! Let them run this business into the ground. A void is always filled. Sometimes even better. Y'all whine like a bunch of teenage girls.

I will meet with a Forever sales rep when they have Scooter do a drumroll on his belly in my front office and the new rep walks backward through my door while squawking like a chicken. And that rep better know how long I have known Kathy before showing me the Damn flavor of the month stupid package. and the big news is__________

Rumor is confirmed that Kathy, one of the best employees ever to work serving businesses in BG has been driven away by our little general and is going to work for our direct competition Commonwealth, Sam, ESPN, etc. Aren't we proud of this and our Sept salesforce production. Christine stop this humiliation!

What is the point to holding a pep rally and spending all that money that could have been spent recruiting better salespeople, or maybe paying them more so they stay.

Lots of whispers and closed door meetings. Did Forever lose one, two or three employees in Bowling Green today? Waiting to hear between the whispers.

Heard from inside that Jill quit as corporate business manager. Tired of the shit. Shelli quit sales job claiming lack of support and no training for outside sales job. Too many promises at hiring that never came true. One more expected to quit soon or try to get fired. Glad to be out of that mess and away from the snorting Little General.

How special. Looks like past drama has ended today. Details? What happened to wake Chris up 2 years later, and who is coming back?

Even a broken clock gets it right twice a day. Now all the speculation will be about who is willing to accept that Christine was not behind all the stupidity that went on for the last two years. Some great people passed thru the desks at Forever, now can she get some back with the negative cut out? Sometimes.

Noone is talking about it. But I heard drastic moves were made to try to get the company back on track. Many good employees who should get better than they were getting. Wait for it. Word will get out.

Helper BG wrote: These got my attention--- We can fix forever asap You are late to the party, but I have to agree with your positivity looking forward. Let's start with, I am perfect, and move on from there. This company made one bad hire at the corporate level. That vp was fired from two sister companies for demonstrating exactly the management values he brought to BG. Bully, berate, abuse and demean your staff. Fear of losing your job makes people work harder. If you lose a sale, that makes you a loser. Don't judge these whistle-blowers until you know the facts. We get very close in our small offices. We have a CEO who was nationally recognized as one of the few female radio station owners, and a very successful owner at that. She got snowed by a guy being fired from other companies in the ownership. Christine thought Gerald was her ticket to an effortless retirement, Gerald thought the same thing. Then somebody had to put in a full day of work, and neither of them had done that in years. Their combined BS is not working. Now we live in a circular firing squad. Who is causing all this turnover, and how do we show that we are not at fault? That is more focus than the stations performance. She saw the problems getting started again and pulled the trigger.

It took the owners long enough! They finally caught on to why dozens of employees who are now doing great elsewhere could not, or would not work under the constant threat of being fired by the big boss while the owner just shrugged and looked on. How could any intelligent person let it go like that for almost 2 years? Is it possible to rebuild the family atmosphere that was once there and promised at hiring?

A pleasant work environment is nice to have with fellow workers you think of as family. However, as in any business, you have ebb and flow. Gosh you people are the biggest bunch of whiners. Don't like it leave. Many did, Chris got the message and changes occurred. Maybe it was time for new blood and a more formal work environment. I have met some Forever employees before and the majority were straight up freaks. I would not have worked with the likes. My choice, free country. Buy the business if you want to change it.
