let you homeowner's insurance company know about having that breed of little doggie on your premises. You may want to increase your limits a bit. Hopefully you will never need it but today's court judgements run in six and seven figures. C.Y.A. Good luck!

thanks so much with your concern but Ive heard all about the worst dogs that attack ppl and I was raised with a german shepard that is #3 on the top 10 most "deadly dogs" I watched wrestling with my g-pa when I was smaller and tried to do the moves on him, he never once offered to bit or growl at me. But thank you for your comment. Please do some more research about what you are talking about before you bash a breed for being mean, the most tempermental of all dog breeds and is most likley to attack its owner is a lahsa apsa and we had one of those two and she bit me 4 times. Thank you.

I recently purchased a wonderful doberman puppy in Colorado. She has fantastic American and Yugoslavian lines and the breeder was incredibly knowledgable about the breed.

I know they have another litter arriving soon from a different Dam so if anyone is searching for an above average dobe feel free to shoot me an email and I will forward your inquiry on to the breeder.

Don't breed or buy while homeless animals die! Think about adopting.

I agree w/ the adopting comment! Don't support careless breeders. The dogs that are marked most dangerous aren't dangerous unless made that way. Blame the deed not the breed! I own 2 amstaffs which are pretty much considered pit bulls and they wouldn't harm a fly unless they felt I was being threatened. Golden retrievers bite more people in the US if you want to look into statistics. The news makes the "dangerous breeds" look more dangerous than they really are. They're just big babies if they are raised in a good home

FOR YOUR INFO AND RESEARCH, THE DOBERMAN IS ONE OF THE BEST BREEDS FOR TRAINING AND BEST WELL BEHAVED.

Hope you find a good match for your family. I had a doberman, his name was Max, and he was very good and stress-free. He was about 9 months old when I got him and the people who had him before me obedience trained him. Back in my childhood, we had one that was a doberman and malamute mix. He lived to be over 13, and he was strong too. Bigger than Max. Wish you well, please consider adopting also from the shelters.

If you are still looking for a Doberman, STAR Animal Rescue in Morehead has a female for adoption. She's already trained and been spayed.

That's the first thing you dint do is tell your homeowner insurance that you have any big dog. You will see you insurance droped. Because if people that train there dogs poorly causes great breeds to be marked as bad.
I have had two doby and both was gental to my kids and others. Best dogs a person could have. They are loyal and easy to train and can protect you and your family. Best thing is the make great inside dogs and will sleep with you and keep you warm.

In the good ole days, people didn't sue their neighbors so judges didn't make six and seven digit awards to dog bite victims. People that did have dogs were not the breeds that people seem to want today. Not telling your insurance company may wind you up with no coverage for hospital and doctor bills, and then comes the pain and suffering lawsuit if your policy has exceptions to the type of breeds they will insure. Having an large uncovered court awarded judgement against you can totally screw up your financial situation for the rest of your life or until you figure a way to pay it off. Your credit report will show the outstanding debt when trying to buy a house or car on credit,a personal loan, or even applying for a job because an employer doesn't want to hire someone with creditors chasing them and wanting to garnish wages. The cost of proper coverage is small compared to what could happen. Same goes with the above ground pools and trampolines. The danger and risk are both there 24/7. CYA
