Are there any good doctors in bg, seem many are rich pricks, have little time for patients. That younger one at primecare is a prick, also Seen him park on the sidewalk, right up against the building at Puerto vallarto on scottsville road because it was raining. He should have gotten a ticket but no way.

We moved here from a larger city in another state. It took me almost six years to find a doctor who knew what he should know with all that education. I had a doctor who would write prescriptions for almost anything I wanted, another doctor who had me doing "self diagnosis" by telling me "I think it might be..." "Why don't you do some online reading since you have the symptoms and tell me which of the subcategories matches". Really? And I paid you why? Finally, I found a "real" doctor - Dr. Napier at Graves Gilbert. He is in/out, but a straight shooter with a good mind. Last I knew, he was still accepting new patients. Good luck!!

There are multiple physicians with multiple practices and specialties. In order to recommend one, we need to know what it is that you are needing to be seen for! If your just lookout for a primary care or internalist, Dr. Hope Havener is highly recommended from others. I've never actually seen her. She is at Graves Gilbert. I've never had an issue with any doctor having a 'superior" complex. A lot of that is all about how you approach them. Most are pretty down to earth.

I personally love dr sutton at greenview. He is very laid back, personable and accepting of suggestions patients may have his treatments aren't working. He is easy to get into and doesn't leave you waiting in the lobby half a day. Most I have ever waited is 30min an that was because he was downstairs in ER with a patient.

If you are looking for a cardiologist then go to Sahetya, Gaba or Kazimuddin. Pulmonary I would go to Hansbrough or Nisar Kazmuddin. Infectious disease Shadowen. Dr Issacs is good if you need a nephrologist but you may have to deal with Rotellar or Sims. The list is long as to who you could see but it depends on what the issues are. You wouldnt go to a Pulmonologist if you need a Urologist.

I go to Dr. Harrigan (sp?) with Graves Gilbert Clinic. I think he actually practices out of the Medical Arts Building, which is adjacent to the Hospital and GGC. He has always been very nice to me, and what impresses me the most is that he rarely runs late! As a very impatient person, nothing pisses me off more than going to a 2:00 appointment only to be seen at 3:30. Just my 2 cents...if you are looking for a good internal medicine physician, look no further

Dr Verst I believe was his name is a brilliant doctor. He also walks to work to save gas, he will actually talk to you and even comes out in the hall which the other doctors leave up to the nurses. I moved away years ago, but he was by far the best at the clinic.

Please DO NOT go to the Sahetya's Clinic. It is three ring circus. Dr. K does great work if you need a cath but his bed side manor is for the birds. His wife Gul the pulmonologist is crazy and she makes her patients wait in the Lobby with a very rude reception staff for 4-6 hours. You may have an appt at 8am and still be waiting by noon. If she is on call at the hospital Gul will save your life but she has expressed he lack of desire to practice is does not tend to her office patients as they should. Its sad and she is no primary care doctor but she wants the money so she pretends. Also the Kazimuddin pulmonologist is very sweet but her knowledge does not go deep and complex lung patients should see further treatment Dr. Ahmed is very good and an internist as well. Hope I have helped as a recently retired nurse I have worked for them all. Oh and Graves Gilbert is a money sucking practice, theyll refer you to every specialty doctor in the clinic for no true diagnosis just financially motivated.

Just an addition to what you said. I am told that the doctors at GG get a commission off of referrals within the clinic.

Of course they make more on back end. The CHC network has their hands in a lot in the region. A lot of providers are a part of it and CHC is buying up more and more practices everyday. Not too many independent practices anymore. CHC dictates a lot of things in these offices. It's kind of like how Houchens owns a lot out here, and in the medical community, CHC owns a lot. They are creating a monopoly and it is not good for everyone. Would you want one entity controlling every medical thing you have access to?

Go to the medical center website and do a search on all of the doctors in the network, you'll be amazed at how many ppl they own.

I agree, chc is getting toooo big! They are sucking up too much land, haven't they ever heard of a parking structure? Even pikevilles hospital in the mountains has a parking structure. How does a "not for profit" hospital get so rich and take over bg anyway.... just shows what's wrong with our healthcare system.

Gg clinic, yeah they love that strep that test! Dr. Stewart wants my kids to get one every time. A very easy way to bump up profits. If your going to take antibiotics it doesn't matter about the test. Just GREED.
