Where is the new pizza hut being built? It will be the first new pizza hut in town in over 30 years.

On Nashville Road in the lot next to Home Cafe & Marketplace.

Thanks, is it going to be a restaurant or a carry out place like the one on small house road?

I miss the pizza hut over on the by pass by medical center. It closed 15 years ago, but went there when I worked at the hospital.

I don't know for sure, but I think a Taco Bell is being built in the same lot. Most Taco Bell's are big enough to sit down and eat in. The pads look about the same size so it might be a full restaurant. There is also a lot of student housing near by. They are close to south campus and there is plenty of houses out down Nashville Road. The area should be able to support a full Pizza Hut.

It may be a Pizza Hut/Taco Bell in the same building, I have seen these up around Ohio before. Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are both owned by the same corporation.

Could be. But it looks like they are building at least 2 separate units there. And since you seen them do the Pizza Hut/Taco Bell buildings have space to eat inside?

I have never been in one, but there was one in Frankfort that actually had a Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and a KFC all in one building, the Pizza Hut was more of a fast food rather than a sit down restaurant.

It's going to be a Pizza Hut Sports Bar. Pizza, beer, and wings! It's gonna be awesome!

Really? That might be kinda cool. We don't have anywhere in bg that's a sports bar type restuarant that serves pizza. Did you know chuckee cheeses sells beer?? I think that's crazy (might just be me). A pizza hut that serves beer would be okay. But to me, chuckee cheeses is for kids and shouldn't serve beer but whatever.

Could that pizza hut not have the absolute worst staff.

Really nice building & setup, decent food & they serve alcohol

Problem is like the previous poster said, the staff is terrible. I've been several times because I like the food, but drink orders are regularly wrong or you have to track down your waitress for a refill or to even pay your tab (especially if you just order the buffet).

Theres even been several times where a waitress just left without telling us or other coworkers because technically her shift time was over. As bad as Lost River Pizza is here in BG,I think Pizza Hut maybe worse. I guess I'm a glutten for punishment though because I still go there for the decent priced buffet on occasion.
Hey so

I've never had a problem with the staff there. My boyfriend works in the kitchen and I go there often to see him at work, and I've always had excellent service - and being a waitress the last few years, my expectations are pretty high when it comes to food service. The only places I've ever really had awful service to the point that I wouldn't were Firehouse Pizza and Motor City. Also, a lot of places do have that one server that doesn't do her job and makes everyone look bad. You may have just gotten that one.
