Bowling Green will probably be the best team in their class again. With the new alignment, it will be that way most years. Their junior class is strong and will lead them to a state title next year if not one this year as well.

East will have a strong chance to make some noise in 4A, should definitely win their district. Don't know if East will be able to make it past Lone Oak to get out of the region though. They need to be more mentally strong than last year's first round exit.

Not sure why the above posters think WC is going to take some big step back. Most significant losses for them are WRs and secondary. Return strong defensive corps and three year QB. They'll probably be top 5 in the state (behind BG), finish 2nd in the district, compete in the region finals with BG.

Greenwood may be better than what I'd have thought with who they lost last year, but I wouldn't hope for more than a 6-4 or 5-5 regular season.

South Warren will finish 3rd in their district, just like last year. Won't be better than a 3-7 record though.

My prediction for regular season records:

-BG (8-2 w/ losses to St. X and LexCath)
-WC (8-2 w/ losses to BG and Ballard)
-WE (9-1 w/ a loss to some team they shouldn't lose to)
-GW (6-4 w/ losses to North Hardin, Warren Central, Bowling Green, and Central Hardin)
-SW (3-7 w/ wins over Caverna, Todd County Central, and Hart County)

Bowling Green loses to John Hardin in the state semifinals, Warren Central loses to Bowling Green in the region finals, Warren East loses to Lone Oak in the region finals, Greenwood loses in the first round to Graves County, South Warren loses in the first round to Fort Campbell.

Can you give me 5 standout players from each team?

No doubt that BG will be good, but to those that doubt the ability of WC you may be surprised. Although they have a young team their incoming Sophmore class are 28-0 in regular season play for their 7th, 8th and 9th grade years...they have a lot of heart and want to win a state title..they have proven that although a small team they can hang with the big boys and BEAT Ballard at Louisville in OT and also put Christian County out of the playoffs first round last season...not taking anything away from BG because no doubt they were good last year (they had 32 Seniors) but don't count out WC in the next few seasons we hope to see great things!!

Five? That's a lot. Let me see:

Bowling Green - WR Nacarius Fant, LB Lincoln Quick, QB Devin Hayes, RB Blue Tisdale, RB Blake Pillow

Warren East - QB Jimmy Burns, WR Chase Bryant, TE Christian Flores, DL Mitch Cook, LB/RB Khyree Boards

Warren Central - QB Michael Bush, DL Darius Lancaster, LB/TE Byron Carver, RB/DB Rondell Green, RB/LB Kenin Reed

Greenwood - RB Tanner Thompson, RB/OLB Dakota Madison, DB Tyree Lancaster, RB/LB Isaiah Thomasturner, QB Josh Dyer

South Warren - QB Jay Eblen, RB/DB Joel Iyiegbunnie - That's really as far as I can go with them.

Whose the best QB, WR, and RB 1-5?

QB -
1) Michael Bush (WC)
2) Devin Hayes (BG)
3) Jimmy Burns (WE)
4) Josh Dyer (GW)
5) Jay Eblen (SW)

WR -
1) Nacrius Fant (BG)
2) Chase Bryant (WE)

Really, there's been a lot of turnover at that position, so that's about as far as I know to go. A lot of the reception leaders in the past couple of years have been RBs. I can say that Central doesn't have any WRs returning. Greenwood's best receiver is Dakota Madison who is technically a RB.

RB -
1) Blue Tisdale (BG)
2) Rondell Green (WC)
3) Tanner Thompson (GW)
4) Kenin Reed (WC)
5) Blake Pillow (BG)

You didn't ask it, but if I were ranking the teams 1-5:

1) Bowling Green
2) Warren Central
3) Warren East
4) Greenwood
5) South Warren

What about Eli Brown, Devonte Duvall, Khyree Boards? All great RB's who play for WE. I also dont think Blue Tisdale is the best RB, Id give it to Thompson out of Greenwood. Quarterbacks I'd switch around Jimmy Burns and Devin Hayes. Burns has a year more experience, Hayes is also a good quarterback, Id just switch around them because of experience. Also at WR, I agree with that, the 2 you listed are very dominant players for their tram. Also what about Thomas-Turner from Greenwood he is a stud.

Yea Boards should be on that list of RB, he is gonna put up some big numbers this year.

All of Warren East's RBs I have to take a wait and see approach. Last year Adarius Barnett carried the ball nearly 200 times for Warren East. Boards carried it 6 times. Eli Brown played linebacker last year for Warren Central, and not even a starter at that. He had zero carries at the RB position, which doesn't give me much reason to believe he'd be above the Dragons who ran ahead of him. I'm guessing Duvall was a transfer as well? I don't know anything about him. The RBs I listed are all players with significant experience on teams that were IMO better than Warren East last year.

Thompson has the most experience of all the RBs, I just happen to think he's not as talented as either Tisdale or Green. That's just a personal preference. Really, RB is the deepest position that this county has, year after year.

Burns and Hayes is just another matter of personal preference. Burns has the extra year of experience, but I believe Hayes is more talented. I feel pretty confident that Hayes will justify my ranking.

Thomas-Turner looks the part, but he's much better on the defensive side of the ball. He didn't even average 4 yards per carry last year.

Warren East will be the breakout team of the year, though. Defense should be top 10 in the state. They will be able to run the ball like nobody's business. Chase Bryant on the outside will create huge openings for the running game. They could make a long run if they keep it together.

South warren is awful. Their QB is terrible, they have no wide receivers, and their defense can't stop anything. BG and WC will be good but BG lost 30 or more seniors last year so they won't be nearly as good. They don't have even close to the talent as they had last year. The team that's gonna surprise people is Greenwood. They're hungry for some wins.

It's a lot easier to look better when playing Caverna and Hart County.

Greenwood opened and immediately faced BG, WC, Owensboro, etc.
