The question is do you think the teaching faculty need a raise of that magnitude? Remember the kids do have class before or after football

Taggert will accept another job at a larger school with a larger salary within the next 5 seasons

Taggart is making less than most other BCS head football coaches. Yes, he deserves it. Like it or not, a successful football program brings money and national attention to a university. We might need a new athletic director though, if his wife keeps trying to sue the city and public schools.

Look at Taggart's record. 11-16. You all think he's underpaid?

His 1st two season he was working with that mess Elson left on the hill. Taggart is a great recruiter and now you can see what he brings to the table. HaHa you either don't know college football and how things work or you simply hating on the man....

Taggert has been successful recruiting in Florida and has said and done all the right things for the most part... Saying that WKU red has replaced UK BLUE however was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I'm chalking it up as "heat of the moment"

UK football is like WKU basketball. It's decent every now and then. Right now it's nothing special but don't tell these idiot die hard WKU fanatics. The way they're going on about it you would think that this is about as important as the fall of the Berlin Wall or that the governor is going to create a state holiday to commemorate the event.

Thank you!

WKU beating UK was a solid win for their program but, like WKU in all sports, we will never hear the end of it.

I like Taggart but his statement is the stupidest thing I believe I've ever heard. WKU is 1-3 against UK and that win required 4 turnovers, a bad call penalty in OT and a trick play. Again, typical WKU mentality, they beat you once and now they "own" you.

Now that that rant is over, they have an outstanding team this year and are representing our area well.

WKU beat a team who traditionally is a doormat in the SEC.

Winning and connections is all that matters, Willie does have a mouth and usually doesn't think before he speaks, but as long as the wins come in nothing else matters. I see Willie as a future nfl coach especially with the harbaugh connection.

You call a guy a future NFL coach after only 18 games, most of which he's lost.

You got to love those WKU believers.

Willie has won every game since about a year ago with the exception of #1 LSU and #1 Alabama, the guy is headed for greatness in 10-20 years whether the UK fans admit it or not. He took a team that won 2 games in 3 years to 7-5. Plus being buddy buddy with NFL 2011 coach of the year Jim Harbaugh doesn't hurt either. Plus a lot of the current crop of nfl coaches were nowhere near the level Willie is at right now when they were 36. I believe ole Jim Harbaugh was just an assistant a few years ago and he's 49. Willie is just 36.

UK, where Joker Phillips make 2 million dollars a year with a 3 million dollar buyout.

Compared to that, Willie is horribly underpaid.
