Ok I have a big concern and every time I talk with the principal Marsha Ingram nothing gets done. Three weeks ago my first grader comes home and tells me some kid in his class pulled his pants down in the bathroom and told my child to suck it! Called and talked to school. They were looking into it. Nothing was ever done. Now they held my child and kicked him in his privates the other day. I have a feeling we are not being taken care of because our family is not as prosperous as others. I believe mine is singled out and no one is paying attention. It's always my boy in trouble. He hates school and cries every morning when we have to go. Please some real advice here and no mockery. I need help. What should be my next step? Can I file assault charges on these children?

You can file assault charges. They'll ask the other boys if they did it and they will say no. Charges dismissed, thanks for playing.

The bathroom is the worst. They really need monitors. When my oldest son attended there in first grade he had been pushed around in the bathroom mrs Ingram wasn't a principal yet. You could file charges but may have a hard time making them stick unless there is proof. Call mr Larson. I had a situation of bullying recently at a city school, even tho my son (younger son in 5th) retaliated I called mr Larson. I was very impressed with the way he handled it.

My kids go to Edmonson County, and both of them are getting bullied. I called the principal and talked to the receptionist and all they told my son to do was tell them when it happened again. My youngest gets done like this on the bus, with bigger kids and then the big kids get off the bus and tell me they are sick of my kid hitting them, when they pick at him on the bus. I thought Bowling Green schools had an anti-bullying coalition going on right now? If so, I would like to know more about it, because I am getting ready to switch them to Warren County school system. Thank you.

Mrs. Ingram is retiring. So maybe she hasn't been able to help as much. Maybe you could visit the school more often, volunteer with the class, and learn more of what is going on.

I saw on the BGCS website where they were hiring a principal for McNeil. I would go to teachers, whoever in the meantime, Let them know what's going on and if it isn't taken care of, you will have their jobs and file charges against them for neglect at school. Bullying is serious business.

You must understand and accept this from the oppressed minorities.

You can tell the legal eagles are in our midst when they are talking about filing criminal charges against a school for an alleged civil breach of duty.

I wonder what the KRS entry is for "neglect at school," LOL.

I would stop calling and put everything in writing. Write a letter to the teacher, principal, and the superintendent. Send emails to all three as well. Keep a record of when these events occurred. If nothing is done then, call Child Protective Services. The school can be reported to them. They Call Me Bad News is right about that one.

Do you know this kid's parents. Have you tried to reach out to them? They may not be aware that their child is displaying this behavior. When a child acts out in a suggestive manner there is more than likely a root cause on why he is projecting this to your child. PLEASE reach out to this kids parents.

Have you talked to your child's teacher or just the principal?

Problems are typically much easier solved without the threat of "having someone's job." Yup, how many times has this threat really worked for you? Just curious? It is obvious that you don't have a lot of experience in the school systems if that is your first line of defense.

Actually, at school, teachers are legally acting as parents. If this went on at a home, the parents could be investigated. Letting someone else abuse your kids is neglect.

Sometimes I think it would just be better to punch the bully in the nose and get it over with.

I thought this school is so great. I know a parent who is going out of her district to put her children there. Maybe wrong choice but she does believe her children and her are better then others lol We will see if her choice is a great one since she is a snob herself probably her kids will be bullies lets hope not!

Don't switch to warren county schools, I went to east in the late 80s-early 90s, the kids would pour urine and other stuff from the toilet in my milk everyday, luckily I never drank it. Today they are worse, they bring vomit and rotten feces and put it in the lockers and put it in other kids faces.

Bullying will never be solved, they can't put monitors on every bus and every bathroom. The dorks are always going to get bullied by the cool kids, it happened to this dork 25 years ago. Luckily I don't have kids because if they had to go through what I went through I would cut the penis off of there daddy just like all the kids threatened me with back in 1991.

It looks like the only way to avoid the bullies is home school, a Christian school, or boarding school. Personally home school would be too boring, plus it would have to be done by a non working parent, and for the average middle class citizen, these Christian schools cost a fortune for tuition each year.

If you don't have kids, how do you know that this is going on in Warren County Schools???

Bullying is always going to happen to a certain extent, but I do know that the teachers in Warren County elementary schools LOVE their kids and will do everything they can to keep it from happening... If they KNOW it is happening! I really believe that BG elementary teachers feel the same.

Have you spoken to the Guidance Counselor? She is a direct line to the students weekly in guidance and is really the person most skilled at dealing with this.

The school should have either a Family Resource director, or a Youth Service director. You should start there for the best results

My two daughters lasted at McNeil one year ! I lived outta district and had heard this elementary school was the best! Early on in the school year I was diagnosed with breat cancer and endured tons of chemo! Had a two yr old and newborn at home and no family to help and my husband had to work nonstop hours to support our family of six! Well there were certain days that I kept my older two girls home to help with my younger ones after I would b severely ill from chemo, well McNeil was fully aware and decided to press truancy charges for my girls missing twelve days of school thru the school year! Endured numerous court dates and charges ended up being dismissed, but I would never recommend this school
