Heard that there is a group of people associated with the AD that has already started talking about a new coach.
Give him a chance

Thugs and players ran out of other division one schools. That was his method at Ky Weslyn. Some times people are just not ready for Prime Time.

You have to give Ray Harper a little time, remember Dennis Felton was 11-18 in his second year back in 1999, then went on to win 3 straight titles in the sunbelt. If Harper hadn't been associated with McDonald, he wouldn't get heat. WKU has yet to upset anyone under Harper, hopefully wku will go undefeated at home and dominate the sunbelt.

The Big Red Retards hailed him as the Second Coming from the day he was announced as the new coach. Even though he had a losing regular season record they couldn't get enough of him.

He won 4 games to take the SBC tournament and not only was he the Second Coming, he was the Second Coming with a cherry on top.

In the first round of the NCAA tournament he beat a 16 seed and not only was he the Second Coming with a cherry on top, but the Second Coming with a cherry on top and whipped cream, too!

The Big Red Retards got extra retarded at this point believing that WKU had a legitimate chance to beat the 32-2 UK Wildcats. Yes, you read that right. They really did believe that, even though WKU only had a lead of 2 points and had it once. They believed it in the 2nd half when UK was up by 20 because, as the Big Red Retards really thought, WKU didn't need a lead because they liked to come from behind in the last 5 minutes to get their wins.

Now the Big Red Retards say that we have to give him more time! What a bunch of idiots.

Is it time to pull the plug on the Harper experiment, you had the chance at Richard pitino and blew it.

It's hard to disagree with this...It just didn't make sense to give such an important job so suddenly to a guy who had absolutely no experience in the big time atmosphere...It seemed like the AD and Pres allowed a small number of larger donors to pressure them into doing so.

Richard Pitino was a win for wku on all levels, sure he was just 29 last year, but he had years of bench experience with his father and Donovan. They hired Darrin Horn at age 30 with far less of a resume. Pitino Jr was not going to fail, plus FOX news just gave Richard Pitino Jr - Rookie Coach of the year, he has lead his team to the best record they have had in 13 years and admitted he was surprised at the turn around. Harper was only sold by his success in the minor leagues, but it is impossible to groom someone to have the same success in another league. Mark my Words in 10 years Richard will be on his way to greatness, sure he wouldn't have stayed at wku, but the era wku is in now is worse than the killcullen and Arnold years, at least a new coach was the solution after a bad coach.

Pitino wouldn't have done anything here. His FIU is 13-12 and WKU is 13-13. A coach is only as good as his players. Pitino had zero D1 head coaching experience, just like Harper. He's in a dinky program just like Harper, and his players suck, just like Harper's.

Your last name won't help your players' shots go in the hoop.

Pitino jr took a program with zero winning seasons in 14 years to the best record they have ever had currently. That is something isiah Thomas couldn't get done. Pitino jr was exactly what wku needed. Jr pitino will win the sunbelt next year before he ends up at Auburn.

If they had hired Pitino he would have left in a few years.

You will never have a winning Caoch year after year unless you agree to pay them and pay them well. WKU has not figured this out yet. Any university can hire a coach with a twisted past, or maybe one with a train car full of baggage. But try and reach out for someone with a clean track record, and see what it will do for the program. They need to remember this If they want to Play, then they have to Pay.

They still suck. A coach is only as good as his players.

WKU fans need to get it out of their heads that the players from these past 3 seasons were good. They weren't and aren't. Harper is overrated but no one else would be able to do much with these players either. Not even Ricky Jr.

The problem with WKU basketball is still today they have a very rich history for mid majors, in the last 6-7 years mid majors are taking over, Butler in a final four back to back years and consistent top 25 program, WKU owned Butler in the Willard years when they played, Butler doesn't have the history WKU has, you also have Gonzaga who is consistently top 25 every year. WKU thinks its there time considering still to this day WKU still has more NCAA tourney appearances and overall wins than most mid majors.

This season is over, even if a miracle happened and they win the sunbelt tourney, won the play in game, and Indiana hands wku there ass just like UK did last year, WKU has underachieved this year more so than last year. This year is so much worse than last year, all that can be said is it's a rebuilding year like Felton's first 2 seasons. There must be improvement next year, losing to sunbelt nobodies has to end.

WKU fans think that the team's history matters now. Point out a flaw in the team and they come back with "Blah blah tournament appearances!!!" Yeah, big deal. They usually lose in the 1st round.
