I purchased a car from Greenwood Ford, on the way home a front tire went soft, we had it filled with air, two days later it was nealy out of air again so I got some fix a flat, two days after that the other front tire shredded while I was going down the expressway, the police that came to the scene examined the tires and told me the tires were so badly dry rotted he could not understand anyone selling a car with tires like that. The thing is when the first tire got low on air I called the dealer, he said they had put new tires on the car, when the second one shredded on me he said the guy they got the car from said he had put new tires on it, also the car was supposed to have had an oil change (like I'm going to believe that now) and an inspection prior to offering it for sale. It's a wonder I did not get killed. The did not offer to replace or pay for the new tires. This is not a good place to do business with.

Several years ago they had a new car stolen off their lot. The car was driven through fields and had mud caked up under the car. It was eventually recovered, but Greenwood Ford fixed the damage (scratches and so forth) and returned it to the lot and sold it as new. The new owner had several problems out of it. After bringing it back to the dealer the third or fourth time, they were told about it being stolen. Needless to say, they were sued and ended up giving a brand new car to the folks that originally bought it. Crooked dealership.

Yea, place is no better even though Max Hendricks is long gone......guess it's the Renshaws, just plain white trash (with a lot of money and most of it stolen from their customers)!!!

I have to deal with the Greenwood Ford people almost everyday in my job...

Most of them are hateful, rude and act like they are royalty. They have a very unprofessional and childish way about them!

I will go on to say that I also deal with many of the other dealerships several times a week and none of the people at the other dealerships act the way the Greenwood Ford folks do!

Needless to say, I will not be buying a damn thing from Greenwood. If I decide to ever buy a ford I will not be buying it here.

I had a great experience with Greenwood Ford. We bought s new Ford Edge in 2007 and had a slip in the transmission that they could not fix. It would never act up when they had it . I got on the internet and found the problem. By this time the car was out of warranty but they repaired it free of charge. They also painted the car after the warranty was up. I have not found many dealers that will do any work on a car out of warranty .

The problem was discovered UNDER warranty so they were required to repair it. As to the paint job, why would they repaint it or why would in need repainting??? I smell an insider here......

As for MY experience with them, it was terrible. I had a Lincoln several years ago that was having fuel flow problems. It was dying at idle and would not stay running, dying at stop lights and such. I took it to them and they had it for over a week while they "tested" it. Finally, they claimed it was some little computer related part and they fixed it. I was instructed to come and pick it up on a Friday afternoon. As soon as I drove it out, I heard a strange noise. like a growling. I first thought it was an exhaust leak or something. I drove the car across Scottsville Road and headed for Lovers Lane. By the time I made it by the airport, the noise started getting louder and louder.(this was before the days of JC Kirby and there was nowhere to pull over) Within a mile the car started slowing down and all of a sudden there was a loud growling followed by a sound of shearing metal and a thud. The car was stopped dead in the road. The ring and pinion in the rear end was destroyed. I immediately called them and they came and towed the car back. The rear end was completely destroyed and it was destroyed by them while it was in the shop. It did not make that noise before taking it in and it made it immediately after driving it off their lot.

I accused them of revving up the motor to try to keep it running and they put the transmission in gear with the motor revved up, shearing the ring and pinion gears. They denied it and the piece-of-shit-white-trash mechanic that worked on it claimed he heard it the first time he drove it. I firmly told them it was not that way when I brought it it. H#ll, it wouldn't have even drove in there in that condition. It was obvious they did the damage. After being loud and complaining, they agreed to find a junkyard axle and put it in....but I had to pay 1/2 of the bill!!! 1/2 for what.....their stupid redneck mechanics to keep a car for over a week, jerk it around, not have a clue what was wrong, tear it up. call me on a Friday afternoon after four to pick it up, drive it less than a mile while is was growling, and have the rear end explode? Oh, and the $#%*(% car was till dying after all that.

so Greenwood Ford/Lincoln......you suck, and that's MY opinion. After that I switched to Cadillacs and have only bought at Andrew's in Nashville....I trust NO CAR DEALER IN BG ANYMORE!!!

All I can say is that I know a person who works there and if they will hire his type they are def. not trustworthy.

The guy that I know would sell his own mother a pc of garbage with no brakes and wouldn't even bat an eye.

I have been doing business there for several years. Everyone has their problems, but I always deal with a guy, Chris in service. He is great! He always goes above and beyond to help his customers. I will not deal with anyone else in service. He always fixes any problem and is professional. I wouldn't give you an ounce for the service director . He is useless and they need to get rid of him in my opinion. He thinks he owns the business and so irritating. Hope this helps!!

I know that guy, he is a trip! He knows his stuff, and does a great job when I am in there. I agree, that bearded guy needs to go. He is a jerk to his employees too, I have heard him. Management needs to open their eyes.

Just to be sure there isn't any mis-information going around, a dealer is not "required" to fix anything under warranty. They have the right to refuse to serve a customer just like any business.

Never buy anything from this place. Most of the cars come from an auction and are in horrible shape they touch them up and mark them up at least $5,000. They make you think your getting a great deal but your really just throwing your money away. Watch out for the used car manager Jeff Keys he's the biggest crook in town. If your buying a new car make sure you do your research they hide rebates from every customer. Extended warranty's do not cover anything don't let the con-artist Mike Shoffner talk you into purchasing one. I know all these statements are true because i once worked at this HELL hole.

Jeff Keys does think his sh!t don't stink. Can't believe he has the position of Used Car Mgr. But then again, look at the goof ball azz that calls himself a General Mgr. The whole sales department is a joke!

Martin was same way

Martin did me the same way.. 5 years ago.. They sold me a car with bad tires on it to! I went back and raised some hell they tried playing it off. I told JD I would never buy another car from them! But he worst part before the tire problem was I agreed to give 12K for the car and they took my trade and cash, and the car I was buying went up 4 thousand dollars. They would not give me back my old car or cash after I told them multiple times I didn't agree to paying that kinda $ for that pre owned car. I could have bought one brand new across the street for what I gave for that used car. I got the car paid for and they sent me a paper wanting to buy it back.. They seriously think Im stupid enough to let them hang it to twice? NOT! greed+dishonesty="most "Car lots..
