Anyone know how to get in touch w/the owner?

I went to one of their regular bays (not the one you drive through) yesterday evening, saw that you can use your debit card...I thought, "cool." When I finished, the display read my charge as $1.75.

I just checked my bank statement online and I was charged $10!! I couldn't have used that thing for more than 5 minutes & the display clearly said $1.75!

I do the same thing and you card will be charged the correct amount in a day or two. First time I saw it, it scared me to death but the money was quickly made right in a day or two.I don't think there is any need for you to call the owner, just be patient.

Whenever you use your debit card, the vendor sends a hold amount through the system for approval before they let you begin using their service. That way they don't get stuck with a declined card after the service has already been used.

Gas stations, hotels, etc. all do this. The hold amount ties up your funds until it is removed and replaced with the actual amount of the charge, usually in 24-72 hours.

Apparently the car wash uses the $10 amount.

Or they're just ripping you off, but I doubt that.

if you go back to soap my ride there is a phone # there between the two big car washes to call. But everyone else that commented on the bank info is correct I work at a bank and that is what alot of vendors are doing with debit cards.

I found their phone # on their website (email was returned); left a message & the owner just called & told me the same as what other posters had said. He said the system does that b/c it's a small amount & I guess b/c there has to be a minimum charge. He was very polite and said if it doesn't credit my account back by next business day he'd refund the difference.
I've just never had that happen before; in all the time I've used a debit card it's always charged the exact amount.
They should post a sign making people aware; it could cause an overdraft if someone had less than $10 in their account & decided to use it...

That explain it. What a Drone this guy is. Also his wife, the on that use to do the lame cooking show on WBKO. Still haven't been able to get the 411 on that little seal blowing up with her. Maybe she wanted Vana White money. Hardy har har, I crack myself up.

Wow, it sure takes a tough man to post bs about someone they clearly know nothing about without posting their name. Ive worked for the Shea's going 5 years now and will tell you now, they both would do absolutely anything for anyone that deserves it. Best two people I know. Sounds like to me your just a jealous hater that wished you were fortunate enough to be around people like Greg and Robin. Get a life loser.

It won't cause an overdraft. The charge is only pending. And when the charge comes out it will be correct. A pending charge does not affect anything

Brian's right, it will not cause you to go in the hole.

@pet owner, To start the Pet Wash it cost $10 but that gives you 15 minutes. Plenty of time left over.

The self serve bays initially charge you $10.00 so you have all the time you need to wash your car. The money should be transfered back into your account by midnight of the night you used it to what it actually charged you.
