"Traveler," go away. Do you know what MSG is? Chuy's sucks. That is what this post is all about. It has nothing to do with alleged conspiracies between Mexican-American restaurant owners and the United States government in a collaborative effort to get the citizenry hooked on burritos with MSG. Are you kidding me?
This post was added to address the overall concern that Chuy's is not good. The only thing I liked about my meal were the chips and the service. Salsa sucked, tortilla shells were disgusting, refried beans were nothing short of shittastic, and all of this combined to make me feel nauseous for the entire evening.
Chuy's blows. Save your money, time, and stomach; go elsewhere if you are considering a meal.
Why don't you look up monosodium glutamate online. You evidently have a computer. You are addicted to the MSG that is found in the seasoning mixes of the other places. It's also in most other fast food joints as well, not just Mexican food. The food is really good and better for you than most places at Chuys.. But then again, I care about what I put in my body. You obviously don't because crap keeps oozing out of it.

You obviously have no taste! Chuy's is amazing and the tortillas are the shit! You probably don't like the salsa because it's fresh REAL salsa made every day! The beans are also FRESH and not made with any lard or animal fat. But I digress... continue eating your shitastic mexican food ;-)

I'm not trying to get in the middle of any fight but to me the beans are terrible. I don't care how fresh they are. I make refried beans all the time at home (from scratch) and I can tell you Chuy's beans taste bland, somewhat like wallpaper paste. The chicken enchiladas and the chuychanga are pretty good. I can agree with that. But you can't say the refrieds are any good. I could reference many places where you could go to taste what great RB's should taste like but none are close by. Oh, and the freshly made tortillas are great.

The prices aren't any more expensive than a Mexican restaurant. The most expensive thing on the menu is the Fajitas and they're only like 13 bucks.
Stop it! The food is more expensive than other Mexican restaurant and it is not as good either, I'am not cheap or picky but its the truth and they dont give you enough food for the high price you pay, the decor in and around the restaurant look so nice the best I had ever seen in bowling green, but its about the food and service and Chuy needs to do better on both.

We go for the free nachos served in the bar at Chuys 4p-7p. We grab a $2.75 domestic or a $4.75 great margarita and pig out on queso-beef-chips in the car trunk.

When we do eat off the menu we split it so even the chicka-chicka-boom-boom is $5 each for more than enough rice, beans, guac, chips with jalapeno sauce and excellent salsa.

We are probably a nightmare for management, but we tip well in cash so the waitstaff seems great about it.

We love Chuy's being in BG!

Do people really eat the side items? Wow. The things that can be learned about human behavior on this site! So all this fighting is about the side items? Well then, let me start a forum about who has the best fries or baked potatoes that I never eat either. I bet that will get heated too.

We hadn't been before so we decided to check them out the other night. The waitress kept saying our food would be out soon. The place looked pretty busy so no big deal, but when we got our food it was cold. It was getting late and we didn't want to complain so we ate some of it. Even though the food seemed fine at the time both of us woke up sick and it lasted most of the next day. We ran into people we know our way out and come to find out they ended up sick too. The drinks were great but four people with four separate dinners at two seperate tables ended up sick. I don't see myself going back. It's definitely not worth it.

Food was ok, prices were good on the food all around $10. Drinks were high if u plan on having any alcohol. Service wasn't the best and we waited for 30 mins before our food came out. I will prolly not be going back.
