The only way to find out is to go to the police station they will not even tell you over the phone. I had a friend that had the same problem.

You can look it up at the courthouse. There are computers there in the area where the clerks are. Type in a name to search and it will show active cases.. if there is a warrant issued, it will show it under documents I think.

Sorry, not the old courthouse but the justice center. Should have been more specific.

Other poster is correct, but only if you have a case in Warren Co. If you got in trouble in Glasgow (as that is where the pc says ur from)...you'd have to go to the court house there and HOPE they have the computers to look the stuff up.

While it is considered public records....hahahha....they don't have to have it on computer...Edmonson Co. is a perfect example.

Warrant are not on the computer. The only way to find out is go to the police station. I know this for a fact. The computer just shows court dates not warrants.

That is absolutely not true.. the court look up system at the justice center shows if there are active warrants or not.. but you have to know where to look for them. I think they are in the document section. I use those computers frequently for work to look up cases. If you go online from your home computer, then yes, you can only see court dates.

If you have an active warrant, you must go to the county where it is active. Look on their computer system, public records, do a search of your last name. If there is an active warrant, there will be a red "W" beside your name. You can click on that line and go into more detail.

Get the case number, go to the window and ask to see the file, they won't ask who you are most of the time.

The question was "does anyone know how to find out if you have an active warrant online for warren county", not Glasgow.

If the person was inquiring about an active warrant in Barren County, they would not need to go to the courthouse. The best place to go would be the Barren County Sheriff's Office located in the County Government Building or just look at the list of active warrants on their website.

.....and yes, they do have some computers over there and even a couple of people that can use them.

That's good that they do. I've never had to look anyone up in Barren Co. so I was unsure. I do know that EC doesn't have computers. I assume one would have to do like you said and go to the sherriffs office....

I do wonder though...if you go and ask about someone (whether it's yourself or not) can they question you and possibly hold you if you know that person's whereabouts?
