you will have a court cost plus you will have to keep the insurance for at least up to one yr. They will also watch to see if you are up to date with it also. If you don't have insurance on your automobile they will come and take your plate off your car. i know for fact that this what happen to you , due to the fact it has happen to me.Judge Brown is very nice and understanding, So there for you shouldn't have any trouble at all. You will be in there no more than 30min to 45min.

Did you insurance laps within the last 30 days of the ticket? If it did, then your agent should have reinstated your policy with continuous coverage. If it was in the 30 day grace period, then they should have made it retroactive back to your original ending date. Technically then you were not without insurance and the judge should drop the charges. If you were outside of the 30 day period, then you are out of luck technically as to the charges and will have to face the consequences. I don't know what that may be, but I know the Brown family and John and he is a fair and honest person. Just plead your case and explain what happened and he may be leniant with you. Good luck!!!

It depends. Did you hit someone? Or something? You will have to pay for whoever or whatever you hit. And, a fine.

Yes. You are liable. And, the court is likely to have them get estimates and you pay for EVERYTHING. The persons insurance will be reimbursed. You have to pay their damage to their car. All of it.

I'm guessing "lapped" is something like lapsed. Anyway, it's $500.00 + court cost and an insurance monitor for a year. The judge might probate some of that fine. Good thing you weren't in a crash.

I have a quick question.

I was put on disability due to an injury at work. I cannot drive so I have not paid for insurance on either of my cars for the past 2 months (I usually pay monthly).

Is this okay? Will I get in trouble even if I'm not driving these vehicles by not having insurance on them?

Thanks

As long as the vehicles REMAIN PARKED (meaning NO ONE drives them), then it won't be a problem. Just remember: No insurance means you're responsible for any damage that occurs to them even while parked (vandalism, theft, storm damage, etc).

I believe they make you surrender the plates, call the Warren County Court Clerk's office to make sure....you know what they say about an ounce of prevention.......call!

Calling is the best idea. Now that you said that, I believe that to be correct.

The Clerk's office will tell you that your registration plates will be cancelled unless you surrender them to the Clerk's office and sign an affidavit that the vehicle has been removed from the public roadways and is not being driven. If you fail to surrender your plates, your driver's license will also be suspended for failure to maintain insurance. Best of luck to you.

Could be as long as 6 months. Your biggest worry is that something (tags or driver's license) get cancelled or suspended before you actually receive any notice.

I'll take care of this all tomorrow.

Thanks
