I live in the Drakesboro area out cemetary road and there is a dirty white van without any windows visible and Misissippi plates that is stalking the neighborhood and fountain trace around 3 AM, I saw it when I left for work last night a little after 3am and when I had the dog out at about midnight on Saturday Night, I talked with some other residents and they have said they are also stalking in the daytime and scared them that the van looks like something that you would abduct someone since there are no windows, really shook up over this.

Yep! Call the Sheriff's department and have your neighbor's report it as well. Stay vigilant, there's safety in numbers. Hope you're exercising your Second Amendment right to bear arms!

Do you have a neighborhood association? If so, I would ask them to email everyone about the suspicious vehicle. It does seem strange that it would just be cruising around at 3 am, but perhaps there is a reason. Maybe they try to find stuff hauled out to the curb on trash day? Or maybe it is someone who lives with parents out there who is trying to get in a couple more smokes before heading home. But if a couple of neighbors have an uneasy feeling, I would let the neighbors (and other neighborhood know) so that they can be aware of the suspicious behavior, get the license plate number, and have someone collecting information.

Tell them that there is a properly licensed vehicle driving on a public street.

Drakesboro is a neighborhood where everyone in the area knows one another, who belongs there, and who doesn't. If they see a vehicle acting suspiciously and the other neighbors have noticed it and are alarmed - contacting the authorities is the next appropriate step before someone ends up robbed, kidnapped, or worse.

Who "belongs" there? Maybe you should move to a gated community and not on a public street.

The truth is that anyone has just as much right to be there as anyone else.

Residents, their friends, family, and anyone doing maintenance on their property. Why else would ANYONE be there at those hours?

With all due respect, this is terrible advice. You
do not know who posted the original post. She or he said that the she or he saw the van at 3:00 a.m. Would you advise your wife to confront a suspicious vehicle at all, much less at 3:00 a.m.?

If nothing else, by posting on here, the original poster has brought attention to a suspicious vehicle. Somebody will get its license plate number and a description of the driver, if someone has not already. Knowledge of this strange behavior may make people in those neighborhoods take extra precautions (locking doors, setting alarms, having a loaded gun nearby, not allowing kids outside without an adult, etc.). And if the person in the dirty white van with Mississippi plates reads this post, he may decide to move on to other neighborhoods knowing that people are aware of his suspicious behavior and that law enforcement may have already been contacted.

It's a public street so it's none of your damn business what the person is doing. He has every right to be there whenever the hell he wants just like you have the right to drive down his street.

Yeah, that's right, nuthead, just go on up to that van guns blazing and shoot anything that moves before you know what the deal is. Gotta make sure you protect your Second Amendment rights.
Are you high? No one said anything about going up 'guns blazing' or shooting ANYTHING.

As far as it being a public street and having every right to be there: I'm assuming you don't know where Drakesboro even is. NO ONE has any business back there if they don't live there, know someone who lives there, or has personal business to attend to there.
