Yeah, he's a great person!{insert sarcasm here} That's why he's suspended for not helping his clients and ordered to pay restitution back to them. Sounds like a winner to me!!!! His sorry butt should never be allowed back in a courtroom!!!

shame it takes 10 years or more for people to get their very legitimate complaints acted on.
If there are enough complaints filed against the former Miss Kentucky 2011 Ann Blair Thornton then the signs will come down!

Ann Blair's involvement with Miss Kentucky isn't related in any capacity to what is going on with Steve right now. You people are so ignorant and judgmental for fighting about this. Ann Blair represented our community and state well and the Miss Kentucky organization was lucky to have Ann Blair and her family involved. Not only do personal business matters have nothing to do with Ann Blair's involvement with the organization, but you people are crossing the line into disrespect and could be hurting people's feelings for absolutely no reason at all. So you should get the facts straight and consider others before you post ignorant, hurtful comments.

Mr. Thornton did an amazing job representing me - I would have no problem going back to him if I needed to. He is beyond intelligent. With a firm as busy as his, I'm sure mistakes happen. Has anyone looked into complaints from other firms or attorneys - it would be interesting to see if they are being scrutinized as well. Steve and his staff were/are very courteous; Phone calls were returned personally by him, and emails sent were responded to by someone, quickly - some attorneys take days to respond, if they respond at all.

For his daughter - we should be excited that someone from our community was represented for Miss America. The little sign that was placed out for her is not bothering anyone. Whats more of a distraction are the numerous billboard signs for Insurance and Realty Agents- that were purchased for advertising use. Ann Blairs sign is not advertising, its a congradulations for her acheivement, which brought state and national attention to Bowling Green, KY.

Good luck to Steve and his employees!

He is a piece of slime white trash!! Should be disbarred for his thievery and lies......read the Supreme Court order and it proves he lies and steals. If it had been anyone else they would not be allowed to practice anymore. What I am wondering is who was the 2 attorneys that testified as character witnesses on his behalf?

Question

Serious question.
According to Ky Courts docket he has over 120 active cases. Many with court dates in the next few months. What happens to those people? Does he have a partner that can step in? Do these people have to petition the courts for extension - and what about the retainers paid for a case he may never see to fruition? What if you are mid-divorce? Do you have options or are you just plain out of luck?

I have no experience with the legal system and I am seeking some valid answers..

I was Steve's client and in the middle of divorce and there are no options Steve can provide to his clients other than to ask you to pick up your file... just out of luck finding another attorney. I am glad he will no longer represent me. I read some of the posts here and I would agree that his staff was prompt and very courteous but Steve is unethical and I don't believe he should be allowed to practice further.

I do agree with you on some things you said and I'm not here to disrespect anyone. I met his daughter and she seems really nice and polite. I do believe in karma. Steve's job was to take care of families he was representing, fighting for whether it was custody battle or else and he failed to do that for more than one family and to many mistakes made by him and those family members are the ones left suffering the consequences.
