I took a car load of items not junk, two years ago, went back and checked for one specific item and did not see it. Considering I did not receive any money, that tells me 1/ someone took the item for free 2/ they don't really pay you a dime for your things, 3/ the item was never put out. I quit shopping there for that reason.

Trust me, my stuff was not junk or I would have taken it Hospice. It was ALOT of stuff. And why would you not take it home free if they were just going to throw it away Crystal?

I learned my lesson back around 1985. I took a ton of quality clothes to a consignment shop located in that red barn-like building in the vicinity of the old high school track. I waited a few weeks and heard nothing. I felt like the items would sell quickly; so, I decided to drive back to Bowie and visit the store to inquire why I was not making money. The clerk was busy when I went in; so, I decided to just look around. Many of my items were not on the racks at all. Then, I found my really nice coat on one of the racks. In checking it over, I discovered that someone had changed the number on the coat so that it was no longer my consignment. I asked the clerk what happened to all of my stuff, and she didn't know as there were no sales registered under my number. I asked why my coat had the wrong number on it, and she said that she couldn't help me because all she had to go by was the numbers. Disgusted, I told myself that I had been duped big time. Since the money was not really important to me at that time in my life, I cut my losses and just left the store. The lesson that I learned was more valuable to me than any money that I would have received.
