This is to my trash man...
How freaking difficult is it to put the trash can back where you got it? I'm not asking you to move it far away, but to just put it where it goes. DO NOT keep putting the trash cans in my driveway!!! I do not put it in the driveway for you to pick up, therefore I do not expect you to leave it in the middle of my driveway!!! All your lazy butt has to do is move it over two or three feet where we ALWAYS leave for you. How hard is it? This has been happening for years and I have had enough!!

you sound like you could use the exercise. you only have to walk a few feet once to move your can. they have to move thousands of feet a day to get cans and put them back. cut them some slack because the could just skip your trash for a week or so until you raise enough hell that a supervisor comes to see if it has been picked up . or they could bring you some one's smelly trash and put it in your can. that would shut your whinny ass up. if you think you can do a better job at it I here they are always hiring.

I agree. How rude and annoying. I have to stop and get out of my car before I can continue up my drive when they do the same thing to me on occasion. I called and complained and they stopped for a while.

Are you guys really complaining about a trash can? Go out and meet your trash man and talk to him they are people also, I have yet to see a complaint from a trash man that people parked their cars in the way of a trash can!!! You must really have a good life where all you have to complain about is where your trash can was placed!!!

Talk to your trash person, or call IESI and complain. Putting it on topix does not fix your issue..

I guess the trash can just floats to the truck and back?
the best I remember there are around 2800 stops in the city of bowie
when I worked for waste management we split the town in half
so that is 1400 stops. there are at least 10 steps to every stop so 1400x10 is 14000 steps at average stride being 3 foot that is 7.
95 miles they walk. when was the last time you walked 8 miles in a day? plus picked up trash

considering I deliver news papers in Bowie, Sunset and Amon Crater lake and take half up to the elderly peoples porch I'd say I do my fair share of walking. I unlike u don't complain about the fact that walking is a part of my job. THAT'S WHY THEY CALL IT WORK. I understand it must be hard to ensure the trash cans r placed back to where they were because not many trash men can seem to achieve this miracle.

Listen, mainly I am venting because I am fed up. Yes, I should call and complain, but I don't want to get any one person in trouble. I just thought maybe this would bring it to someones attention and be corrected. The trash man literally drives right up beside my can. He does not have to walk to get to it. Yet, he manages to put it back about 3 feet over which is right in my driveway. If my car is in the driveway it is right behind my car. No I am not too lazy to move it,I'm just busy and after years of dealing with this I am annoyed. I always have my can right by the road in a convenient spot for him, so I feel it wouldn't hurt for him to put it back.

Thank you misnomer. I may just have to call them. I didn't really want to, but it doesn't seem to stop.

hummm so you are the famous paper thrower that is always late and cant get the paper where it belongs! I am not knocking anyone's work and I never complained about work I work 7 days a week 60+ hours at my job then all weekend at home so I do a little work myself. I just want the fine people of bowie to know how hard of a job it is. unlike your job that you do in the morning the trash men cant start till daylight on residential collection so in the summer it is over a 100 outside it 140 in the truck plus they walk a lot. so give the guys a break when they don't get you can where you like it. and offer them something cool to drink while they are working . you never know that might help them try harder to put your can back where you want it.

Im with you! My family thinks its obsessive of me but I have actually taken pictures of my trash man digging thru my can and placing my things in his truck. I realize I threw it away, but that still doesn't make me feel comfortable that he digs thru my trash.. AND he always throws the can down! It's never sitting upright its laid over on its side! But just like others I do not want to get anyone in trouble (although I have dealt with this person at my place of business and is not a pleasant person to talk with) I still don't want to be the one who caused trouble. Karma bites me every time I do anything that may even be "the right thing" to do.
That is all.

We try to give our guy a cold bottle of water every once in a while, say, "thank you" anytime we're see him, try not to leave my vehicle in his way and we don't ever have any problems.

and FYI if u want ur paper at a specific time and location, all u have to do is tell me. I'm not a mind reader but I do strive to keep customers happy. Just come out n the morning and tell me. I'm happy to do whatever I can to make my customers smile. Makes for a great day.

mommy dearest, I don't expect my paper on the front porch, but lots of times I have to look all over the yard, and down to the street, or under hedges. I hope in the next 2 months you improve your throw in the dark.
