Has anyone else seen the Kindle commercial that has the gay married men on it? I'm usually pretty open minded and live by "to each their own" but this is TOO MUCH!!!! My children saw this commercial and I had to try to explain this to them! What has happened to our world that it's ok to put this on television?! Do what you want but don't cram it down my throat with your ridiculous commercial! This world is going to HELL in a hurry!

I'm ok with this commercial. But this is too much. How am I to process this? I am so tired of people craming this lifestyle down my throat. And by lifestyle, I mean the STRAIGHT one. Everywhere I look straight people are kissing and holding hands. Look, I don't care what you do in your bedroom but please stop throwing your straigtness in my face it's ridiculous.

First you have to understand that I dont dislike people, I dislike sin. I am a sinner, and I dislike the sin that I commit. Anyone that says they dont sin is not being truthful. My problem is that the sins I struggle with (and the ones I dont) are wrong. I dont embrace my sin and call it wright just because I want to keep committing them. I strive to do better. Along with my struggles, this lifestyle is wrong. I can't stand for my sins or yours. Some people want to say that 10% of our population lives like this so it must be right, I say 100% of our population is wrong because we are all sinners. I will not stand for sin, not mine, not yours. I will pray for forgiveness, guidance, and stregnth to deal with the temptations of this world. I will pray to the one true God that died and rose again to save my soul from my wicked ways. I am not weak, misguided, or febel minded (but I do spell poorly) as some of you anti-Christians may believe. I pray for you all!!

You all need to pray for your self, I have studied the bible my whole life and it never says homosexuality is a sin. Love is beautiful.

You haven't read the bible because if you had you would know that homosexuality is the whole reason he destroyed sodom and gamorha( I realize it's spelled wrong)

No. Its sin that did. Not homosexuality. It was destroyed by sex with animals. And if you wanted to be techincal, anyone who gets oral pleasure is commiting sodomy. So, where is your rebuttal?

Texan,

Before I continue the real issue is not Homosexuality its sin. More speciffically sin being passed off as ok "the new norm"

As I stated I do pray for myself, though it would be selfish if I did not pray for you too. I will not argue right or wrong with anyone on topics of Gods comandments. I am called to go forth and make deciples, by telling others about Jesus and what he did for us. I am not called to plead with individuals to accept Jesus. You can choose to accept or reject. Jonah was sent to Ninevah to tell them to change their ways or be defeated. They listened and changed. In the end of the story we learn that Jonah was angry with God for spareing them when they repented. Jonah did not want them to be saved! Do you think he pleaded with them? I truly wish the best of God's blessings for you. You can not receive them without living by his rules. We can not change them if we dont like them. The Bible may not specifically say that the city was destroyed due to homosexuality, but it does say that men came to rape his guests (who were men). You can hope that those wicked unspecified acts did not include Homosexuality, but the evidence points more towards homosexual acts being one of the sins. The bible also says that Marriage is between man and woman.

Jesus loves all people reguardless of color, sexual orientation, addiction, etc

I will plead with my fellow Christians to love like Jesus loves. Dont feed on hatred. Build eachother up, and stand firm in your faith. Dont hide in churches, go out and show Jesus to the masses with your actions. Deciple eachother, and dont hide from your beliefs. We have rights to our beliefs too and we do not have to be labled haters for our beliefs. Jesus did not hate anyone, neither should we. Love the sinners, remember you are one too.

We can stand firm together without spreading hate

For those anti-christians I make this point. Be carefull who you lable a Christian. Satan has many people fooled. Although we are saved by grace not by works (so that no one can boast) the actions of a Christian will identify them. We are not the people you should be upset with. I would agree to disagree with you and walk away friends, but I will fight for my Lord and saviour and his truth with my dying breath!!

I am the worst of God Sheep, and but filthy rags untill God looks at me through the blood of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour.

Yes homosexuality is sin! See how that works, a whole town of men wanted to have sex with Abraham or someone and god blinded the men so they could gather his family and leave before god destroyed the town. So yes sin/ homosexuality. And why in the hell would you want to put your mouth anywhere near a place that urine or feces comes from!

Why does anyone want to live only for theirselfs? Life is so much fuller when lived for Jesus. Selfishness does not reward us in meaningfull ways. It always leaves us wanting more. We all to some extent fall in this trap, so we can all attest to this fact. How many of us have tried living in a selfless manner to help others as Jesus did? I challenge you to find truth, and meaning in your life that is beyond your desires. I challenge you to search your soul, and ask if the sins you committ are because of selfish personal wants. Lastly I challenge you to do more for the Kingdom of God than this lowly servant will.

I am Christian and proud. Although I can not accept your path, or my own sins God can IF we accept Jesus. To God your lifestyle is no different than me steeling, murdering, sleeping around, etc. Sin is sin, and an abomination to God. Through Jesus we could meet eachother in Heaven. Heaven is full of former sinners washed by the blood of Jesus Christ. God is Love, God is Good!!

Dude, seriously? It doesn't say being gay is a sin in the bible. Anywhere. Sodom and Gomohera fell due to the screwing of beasts and killing of fellow man. I am a devout Catholic. I carry my bible with me. Judge not lest ye be judged my good sir.

My understanding: In order to Judge someone you would have to condim them or aquit them. I have read my posts carefully and dont feel that I have done either. I am not usually a person that writes anything in forums, unless it is some sort of techincal discussion. This is the first time I have engaged in conversation such as this on the internet. I tried to convey my values not force them. I have found this experience very negative as it has really taken a lot of energy from me. It has left me sad and disheartned.

So I ask you, a fellow Christian; How do you stand up for Jesus? How do you let Christ shine through you? Obviously you think I am doing a poor job! If I stand up and say murder is wrong, nobody would accuse me of Judging anyone. I understand you do not think being gay is a sin, so lets set that aside. That conversation for me is over.

Lets keep other things on the radar such as:
premarital sex. abortion. TV shows that glamorize killing, prostitution, and sex. Useing the Lords name in vein. etc

So what do we do about sin? Can we continue to allow abortion because people say that we are judging when we tell those people that what they are doing is wrong? I dont understand why it is wrong to tell someone else that they are doing wrong. I count on friends (not all of them, very few of them actually) to point out my flaws, so that I can do better. Have I not written with love? Have I been ugly? Did Paul's letters to the Corrinthians not tell them what they were doing wrong? Was he judging them?(I realize that I am not the great man Paul was, but Paul by his own admission was still a struggling sinner) My heart aches!!

I dont think that I'll be writing in forums like this anymore. Probably to much applause. I want to help people, not insult, or do anything to furthur tarnish the way many people already feel about Christianity. I want people to see Christ through me, and want the happiness and contentment he has given me. I want to see the Kingdom of God expand!!

I want an honest response. Please dont fire back in haste or anger. My intentions have never been to judge you.

God posted while I was writing this so I have very little to say because I am tired and typing this has taken a lot out of me. All I care to say about that is you have a very pragmatic approach with that logic. Faith doesnt really work like that.

Jesus did not push himself on people who mocked him. I dont think Jesus would have even responded to you (maybe I should not have either) I do not wish to argue with you. Jesus loves you :)
