Hey all, Considering moving near or in Bowie for work. What are the pros and cons of the town? IS it dog friendly or are there any dog parks near?

First of all, don't ask the people that stalk topix a question like that. Call the Chamber of Commerce of the City Offices. No, there is not a dog park in Bowie, however, you will find that Bowie citizens are dog friendly. Bowie is a great place to live, so don't listen to the haters that will soon bash this post.

Living in Bowie, listening to the train that passes through at 5 every morning. Going to school with 500 other under-educated kids, being mediocre in sports and stuck in a vicious cycle of never leaving the city. The two restaurants were to die for, as you probably won't eat otherwise. There is a park, if you'd like to call it that. Overgrown grass, a beautiful view of 81 and all the oversized trucks tearing down the street. On a good day, you may decide to leave paradise and venture towards Wichita Falls. The scenery is to die for- you can see the edge of the world past the flatness of nothing, and can even count cows if you feel so inclined!
Don't forget that jobs are nowhere to be found, you'll never belong if your mom and dad haven't dipped their finger in the pie of the city, and if you even pretend to be liberal, they'll take you down to "Hanging Tree Road" on a whim.
It really is heaven on Earth. 10/10 would live again.
