im tired of getting up early every morning and someone has just turned their dogs loose to run the neighborhood this morning they dug under my fence and tore into my chicken pens killed 4 chickens and 1 of my daughters rabbits these dogs show up before 7am and after 4pm so theres no animal control on duty in the city i have been running these dogs off with my pellet gun but i am now out of pellets if these are your dogs and you are just turning them out to roam the city you owe me for some chickens and a rabbit if your dogs dont come home its your own fault there is a leash law here and i am protecting livestock

I hear ya. I don't own a dog yet my yard always has dog poop in it. I'm sick and tired of it. The owners wait til Willie is gone and turn em loose, its rediculous.

it's only $50 bucks for a 'discharge of firearm' ticket, IF it is like it was back in 'the day'. might be more now, but you will have to go to the judge and pay a fine. if its a skunk or 'coon ect, no prob. a dog, you need to talk nice to the judge and plead your case. but yeah, you can shoot a dog if its killin your chickens.
but are your chickens up to code?

hog are the only animals you cant have in town unles they are pot belly pigs and then yer allowed 2 but you have to have 150ft from the neighbors house n thats all i know ive shot oppossum coon n skunk last summer and never had a ticket for shootin in the city as far as i know if your protecting livestock there is no ticket for shooting
i keep getting a chihuaha and a pit bull mix looking dog and a cpl other chihuahas then theres a cpl of great danes the great danes have been all over the rabbit pens but its the chihuaha with the pit mix that got into them and my yard is fenced and i have my own dogs that started fighting with these dogs

Maybe you should fix your fence so the damn dog is secured. If I see a pitbull running loose in my neighborhood that will be the last time. If you care about your dog, fix your fence. I have zero tolerance with a pitbull.

ive seen yer post on topix and the pic you posted its not yers thats coming over here n we arent talking about the occasional loose dog these are the dogs that show up every day like clock work the one that come by here kilt a rooster i paid $250 for and my daughters rabbit that was her show rabbit n i gave more for it than the rooster you think the owner that lets their dog out every day gives a shit about my stuff nor do they give a shit about their dog or theyd keep it up my yard is fenced and my animals are in cages

I have 2 pits and they are the best dogs, have owned pits all my life. I can stand chihuahuas, and rat terriers, my red heeler i had would bite you faster than any dog i have owned before.

I completely agree Dallas. The Pit breed should be banned and I don't care what the bleeding heart owners of pits say how about nice bobo is, I too have ZERO tolerance for pit breeds on my property.... and won't hesitate to use whatever force is necessary to eliminate the threat!

The pitbull breed has been breed over the years to be a fighting dog. just like the sporting dogs have been breed for hunting. If I see a pitbull in my yard or trying to get in my yard , i can sure you I take action to protect my dogs. I will NOT tolerate an owner permiting there dogs to run free. if you guys with the pitbulls have an issue with this, then keep your dogs fenced up. it is your responsibility as a dog owner.

i once owned a cpl of pit bulls before they started in breeding them into what they are today the ones back then were actual fighting dogs and yes i would haul them and fight them of course this was when it was legal to do so them dogs then were alot smaller and never fought another dog or person unless they was in the pit my house dog back then could run them off their feed dish but the so called pits they are breeding now are inbred to be a larger dog with alot bigger head on them and as we all know with inbreeding comes temperment problems so i dont tolerate them any longer when my last 2 passed on of old age i vowed i would never get one o these new mutts they call the american pit bull terrier this is why sometimes you get a docile dog and then get a mean dog and they generally get rid of the docile ones and breed the mean ones its the owner/breeders own fault that the dogs are ridiculed n persecuted

we have the chihuahuas every single stinking day - the owners don't even try to keep them up and they have 6 or 8 or more (cause they just KEEP having puppies, litter after litter). They don't have collars or tags, they aren't fixed, so they bring every male dog for blocks and blocks around.
The damn owner doesn't even know where they are, they have a yard, but won't be bothered to keep them up or clean up after the stupid things - guess they're too busy getting arrested.

LOL - I wouldn't be suprised if we're nearby either. The animal control officer was called out (by the owner of the chihuahuas - because they HAD A DOG IN THEIR YARD AND DIDN'T LIKE IT!). And the city came out and picked up the stray (he's white w black spots and med haired, not fixed, of course, in case anybody is interested, here's what happened to your dog)and left all the rest of them loose and in heat. Only in Bowie....

Put a dog in the hands of a sorry owner and you'll get a problem dog - I don't care what the breed is.
