Did you know that if you bring stuff to Just Junkin you are going to be ripped off?

The reason I say that is because the people of Bowie take things there to be sold .But before anything goes on the floor the owner goes through and takes what they want and throws a lot of the stuff away and if you are lucky you might have something left to sell.

salvation army is kinda like that - i took some stuff to the one in whichita falls and they told me they didn't want it - I said "it's free" and they still didn't want it - told me nobody else would want it either! They even had the nerve to tell me that's what dumpsters are for.

maybe if you would stop buying crap and get something decent for a change someone would want your stuff when you are done with it, stop being so cheap.

Funny how there was a thread about Ritzy Rags and now all of a sudden one bashing JustJunkin? Seems like RR has an agenda.

Both places throw your stuff away and both places do that for different reasons!
It's dirty, worn, stained, etc.
It's outdated.
It's broken, chipped, falling apart.
OR the owners don't like you and could care less if you get any money.
so it ends up in the trash.
So you could take things to theses "consignment" stores but don't expect much from them.
Take you clothing, shoes, accessories to Chloe's Closet. She pays up front but only takes up-to-date styles and if the item is in good condition.

Don't take to the consignments, take it to Hospice and donate it. The money made goes to hospice for the care of those that need it. Very good cause.

I worked at just junkin as a teenager and I helped go through things when they first came in. Yes we would throw out things that were in bad shape or dirty or looked like trash. If you don't want someone else making that decision for you have a garage sale, the permit is $2.00. But this is Bowie and most of the stuff is going to be trash.
