I dont care how much lipstick you put on a pig it is still a pig. I live here 24/7. The nursing staff is fair to good depending on the day. But they are so short handed and patients are not being cared for. there is no way that two aides and two LVNs can care for a hall full of 53 patients. I am leaving tomorrow because I cannot stsnd the heartache any longer. If you give a damn, sign up to volunteer and help out.

I've heard that place was losing staff. That's soo sad because people who cannot care for themselves are there not getting the care they need.

Advanced Rehabilitation and Healthcare is actually gaining staff not losing it. There are new smiling faces everyday. The administrative staff is fantastic. Very hands on with residents and families alike. It's not everyday that you see the administrator of a facility serving out meals to the residents. However at Advance Rehabilitation and Healthcare you see it everyday! No doubt it's a beautiful new building. But if a place is only as good as the people in it then this is a wonderful place to be!!!!

Actually not a spin doctor. Just a person who is very concerned about public bashing of a very good place. A place where the staff there cries with families at the loss of loved ones. A place where the staff loves their residents like they were family. A place where patient care is more important to the staff than their days off. If someone has had a bad experience there it is unfortunate but if you take a poll I can guarantee you will receive more positive comments than negative.

Like most places of business you have your good and bad. This facility is alot better then others I have worked in. You walk in and it doesn't smell, the staff is smiling and willing to help however they can. I for one am.glad to be apart of the team that Cares for your parents.

Unlike the other options in town, we won't kick you out for being ”too old”.

Then you need to complain about the housekeeping. And call state about the night crew. Feel free to come up and volunteer, the residents and the staff would love to have you.

The state was called. Have you ever looked at their reviews. I believe it is a 1 1/2 star??? Why should I go help clean? I payed them before I removed my family member from there! And I did help other residents when I visited that were needing help, so don't tell me what I should do.

May the Lord return before I ever have to live in a old folks home. It is so sad that people have to live in those things.

Yes ted it is sad. People put their parents and grandparents in there, then forget them. We bathe them, feed them, laugh with them and cry with them. Then we get told how terrible it is and that its wrong for us to say anything about it. Either put up or shut up!

We make sure every need and wants are met. If you want them to smell nice, bring in smell good soap/shampoo, and lotion. Put an air freshener in their room. Make sure their clothes are nice and not stained up and ratty. Those are things that are out of the caregivers hands. We can only use what supplied by the facility, if an outside party doesn't bring it in. I'm not gripibg I just wish you understood the physical aspects as well as emotional ones also. We care very much for our people and wish that we could do better. Believe me we give 110% in all ways possible.

My loved one went several days without getting bathed that is the smell I am referring to. When asked they would say they were going to do it. I know their are some good help there and I also know there are people there just to draw a check. Maybe it will be better since they don't have the DIrector of nurse there that thought she was better than everyone there including staff members. Just a sad situation when your forced to put your loved ones into such a facility.

im not taking a side here because I can't speak from first hand experience. I do know some of these places are just a waiting room for the dead. I also know that some of the people who are supposed to be taking care of the elderly do not do the job in the manner they are trained. Every case of abuse should be investigated. That said managing is not always easy and its hard to know everything everyone under you is doing. Bottom line grownups should act like grownups

I can now speak from personal experience my gma is in that place. They have been nothing but good to her not my words but hers. As long as she is ok with her treatment I am too. She does say its boring and she wants to go home. But who wouldn't?

Maybe if your grandmother is able to take care of herself. My family member was not unfortunately and that's how they were neglected. I'm glad
Your grandmother likes it there maybe the staff is better than it was.
