Jennifer looks hot in leather, especially when she takes those glasses off and is good about working out consistently.

It's no wonder Lott will never grow. The local force has piss poor judgement and utilizes speed traps as a source of income. I'd rather run out of gas, call a cab from temple and pay double rates than to pump a single penny there.

I think there are several ways that Textbooks could be made affordable.
*Using previous edition textbooks that cost 80% lower than current edition, but contain only 5% difference. Publishers should not be allowed to publish new editions until there is considerable advancement in the area,
*Using OPEN source textbooks that are available for free. Faculty should take these effort.
*Ask students to price compare across 50+ online website before buying, renting or selling. Websites like UsedTextbookPrices.com are free to use and provide instant price comparison for new, used, rental and international edition.
*Promote use of International Edition textbooks, which are cheaply available online. UsedTextbookPrices.com compares international edition prices if any are available online for a specific book title.
*Promote students to buy textbooks from other student. Win win situation for the selling student and the buyer students.

It is a disservice to our future generation to not teach all things that will prepare, enlighten, expand their knowledge base, and encourage growth in learning. To exclude subjects such as:
SEX EDUCATION, ALGEBRA II, and EVOLUTION in schools because some folks disagree or find it "offensive" or against their "religion" is neither democratic or practical.
Our children are not all going to stay "on the farm" as it were, when they reach young adulthood. They are going to go out in the world and find their own way. You can't put them in a bubble, and subscribe to the belief they are never going to be "tainted" by beliefs contrary to your own. In fact, I bet many who sit on this board are living lives that their own parents would not have approved of wholly.
Stop the hypocrisy. Our children deserve to know as much as they can, so when they are older, they are also WISER than us.
We are cheating them on a good education.
Denying that they need Algebra II, when EVERY SINGLE IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL in the nation requires at least two years of math, is WRONG!! The idea that kids should just be happy to go work in an auto parts store the rest of their lives is pathetic thinking. We need people to desire and dream beyond our own walls and stupid boundaries, and encourage them to seek high goals. WHy should they achieve greatness, if their own STATE works against them?
I want my kids and grandkids to know all they can about sex, algebra, and evolution. If they want to learn about religion, I will take them to the church of their choice....in fact, I think it would behoove MANY Christians to get their heads out of their asses and take their kids to MANY different places of worship....maybe they will see how important it is to look for the common threads among us, rather than all the things perceived to divide us. Jesus wasn't an isolationist, nor did he refuse learning....he spent his childhood learning from both the Sandhedrin and the PHarisees, as well as the mystical rabbi's of the time. He also wasn't put off by anyone's beliefs differnt than his own....he wasn't a control freak...
I guess the board of education in Texas should be renamed: THe State Board of Bible Baptist Education....
They limit themselves to "ONE NOTE" in the symphony of life. It becomes boring after a while to listen to it only.
