I grew up with George. We were neighbors in Corpus Christi and best friends. We all feel sorry for the families, past and present. Though I have been out of Texas for the past 33 years, George and I had been in touch. I feel sad that he didn't get the help that he needed. Best wishes for the family in Bowie. Be strong. Love You. You in Midway, hang in there too.
Where did you live? I lived across the street from the Utterbacks in Corpus

Brenda,
Bubba was pretty messed up. He needed help like DWH said, but he did not think he needed help. No one else could do anything the way the laws are. I just wish he had not harmed anyone else when he decided to kill himself.

I still can't believe people are going on about this.

He was my shop teacher in Junior High and yeah he seemed a little strange. But hell, I thought all teachers were strange. My prayers go out to both families and hope they stay strong for each other.

Only just saw this, I knew both of them when they meet while working at PSI in Temple, he was crazy, she was pure evil, a deadly combination as it turned out, feel bad for the kids in this situation, but George hope you rot in hell.

Detectives late Monday said they believe a Madison County man killed himself after shooting his wife and 12-year-old stepso, while the boy's twin escaped and called 911.

Authorities said 53-year-old George Allen Utterback Jr. recently had been estranged from his wife but was inside their house just before 5:30 am Monday when he fired several shots.

The son apparently was shot in the face, but pretended to be dead when his stepfather went outside and shot and killed his wife and then himself, officials said.

And he was our shop teacher!!!
He was our teacher as well in Refugio and I was in the same grade as the twins !
