While there have been some good wrestlers mentioned on this page. We must honor 2 of the all time greats. Steve "the german" Martin and Randy "wildcat" Crews.

Edward Bexley could have been one of the best around if he would have finished school. He was one of the best gifted atheletes Bremen had. But made a few mistakes and had to support his family.

I agree with MBD. BMS has some amazing talent. I think I'm going to keep my eye on this group of young wrestlers. Andre Thomas was good. I think he was so strong, he just overpowered his opponent immediately and they were done.

You can go on all day and name wrestler after wrestler and they were all good in their day. I just know that wrestling and what it stands for was what made a respectful young man out of my son. You are taught self control, respecting your opponent and good sportsmanship. You are never up against anyone that is more than a couple pounds heavier or lighter than yourself. You learn to work with a team and yet you are independent to earn recognition for your accomplishments. Kids that can't play football, basketball or baseball can fit in somewhere in a wrestling program. If you're lucky enough, you get a coach that knows his business and can teach you things you never knew and things your DAD doesn't know either. Also if you get a coach that is compassionate and shows you approval when you do well and prompt you when you mess up without screaming and acting like an idoit, then you've hit the JACKPOT. It's a shame that winning becomes more important than teaching. Also, I've come to tears more than once watching a physically challenged child allowed to wrestle. What a special moment!! That doesn't happen on the ball court or football field. There's not a place for them there. I just can't say enough about this sport and all that it has meant to me and my family. GO BIG BLUE!!!
