We are also HUGE fans of Swamp People and live in Ky. I sure hope all this flooding is not going to ruin the alligator hunting! I know some of these hunters depend on this for a living or part of it anyway. And I could listen to Cajuns talk all day long! We have been to New Orleans, Lafayette and several of the Parrishes and sure hope to return some day, but want to go deeper into Cajun country and meet and get to know some of the Cajun folk.

Well it's only 1 month a year so they do other things other than hunt gators. But in a good season they can make some good dollors to help out the rest of the year.

Those people and the lifestyle you see on swamp people is as real as you're ever going to see in your lifetime. Imagine wrestling a 1000 pound alligator, killing it and going on to tag another 30 befor you fo home for supper every day. This is a reality show,,this is REAL.I lived it,I love it and I miss it terribly. Thoee swampers, some of them are my personal friends. you need a wake up call..Lord !

History Channel is Stupid. Just found out why we have not been seeing some of the cast for so long. Personal favorites were the Edwards family. Love Them All, but Theresa made us laugh, Junior with his smirky smile and sarcasm, and Willie with his treval hook, which we thought was so amazing. Have watched since the beginning. Now we check the info to see if the Edwards family is on the episode, and if not, we turn the channel. It will never be the same without "ALL" the original cast. History made a big mistake.

I agree with you! Big mistake! I don't care to watch the new cast! Final season anyway!

Missing Liz & Jess, Mitch (RIP), Edwards Family who made us laugh. Popped into the show tonight but it is just was not the same and everyone seems so tense now. The humor is gone. Was hoping we would see the original people in the next season, but someone said, 2016 is the last season. Maybe all the originals can get together and start their own show and give History the bird!
