Review: Denny's

I have been going to Denny's for quite some time now, mostly for the famous "Grand Slam" breakfast. A few weeks ago, I stopped in the Denny's in Bourbonnais on a Friday afternoon with a buddy of mine after work, and I have to say, i was not happy. I remember walking through the door and someone whizzed past me and said hurriedly that they would be right with me. I waited for about 2 minutes, and then a waitress with short blonde hair came up to ask me how many and if we wanted a booth or a table. She sat us in her own section and told us her name was Tara and she would be our server. She asked us our drink order and walked away. After we got our drinks we didn't see her for about 5-6 minutes, and let me tell you, we were starving.

She finally came back for our food order, but did not right anything we said down on a pad. I had a feeling the order would be wrong and sure enought, about 15 minutes later, she brought out a moons-over-my-hammy with hash browns when my friend specifically said grits. I was served a ham and cheese omelette when I told her veggie and cheese. We corrected her by telling her our order was wrong and she asked if we wanted the correct order. I didn't - i ate what i got. She never came back to the table after we said we were fine. She didn't check on us, she didn't refill our drinks, just completely ignored our table. I will not go back to this restuarant again, at least not this particular one.

I'm sorry that you guys have such a negative view of Denny's. I can assure you that it was probably very busy in the restaurant or that the servers were attending to a very needy table. The server that you mentioned is a very good server and shes been with the company for 7+ years. Mike, i didn't read that you've had multiple bad experiences with Denny's. You can't base ANY business off of one bad experience. Everyone has a off day at a job. I'm sure if you were to ask for a manager things could of been resolved in a timely fashion. I understand that your trying to let everyone know your experience that you had but it was very unfair for you to use her name. Me, and my co-managers would very well welcome your business in the future. But if not, I'm very sorry about your experience.

If you're going to quote somebody please do it correctly. The Bourbonnais resident had said "so shut up" and you attempted to quote them and said "you just shut up" the just was not part of the original quote. Nice try though. So I'd say you're the looser for a failed attempt. I don't see how someone can be a looser just because they choose to eat somewhere. Please stay out of our Illinois business and go back to Indiana. Thank you.

Well it's confirmed, Sellersburg, IN is a fifth grader. Not only are you illiterate but also one the most immature people on this site. This is a public blog but whatever happened to some self decency and respect to others?

The Sellersburg, IN is probably their IP address. It is quite possible that they are actually from Bourbonnais.
To Prove it I am currently posting this from my laptop on an internet connection from the far north side of Naperville, IL. Yet most of the time it shows no IP address. When I am home, Kankakee County, I have seen it use IP address from Chicago.

Why do we keep giving this assclown the attention he or she wants. Just ignore them. If they want to keep bothering him don't waste the tips of your fingers on you keyboard for them. If you like Denny's then we enjoy your business. If not, thats no reason to act ignorant towards someone that does. Eat at another place. I think we can tell from some peoples language skll that some people just can't be pleased ever so don't go back. My family enjoys going to Denny's and for the money we think it is a good value.
