A little over kill???? That sentence is stupid. Give the SOB the death sentence and be done with it. All they have done is given him a different kind of life...one that he is still living even if it is in prison. Sorry but that doesn't cut it. Why allow this POS to continue to breath?

Where's the over kill? A death sentence is the stupidest suggestion you can make, for many reasons. For one, kidnap and rape aren't grounds for a death sentence. Second, general population is a cheaper form of death sentence. Capital punishment is extremely expensive in this country since the f'd system takes decades to execute inmates in deathrow.

Finally, a judge who hands down a sentence that will hopefully keep this monster in jail for the rest of his life. This is the type of sentence all child sex offenders should get.

I am so sick of hearing these child molesters getting sentenced to only 10-20 years and getting out in less. Yes, they should all die, but that isn't going to happen in our lifetime. I'd rather see a judge "overkill" than give a short sentence.

130 years isnt overkill, its justice served.

Parole cant happen for violent felons unless they Serve 85%.

Giving someone the Death Penalty is the EASY way out. If more 130 year sentences are giving out you will see crime drop.

Pink panties and Hot Green Mini Skirts should be his outfit also

Although this guy is serving life, he has now possibly passed his evil traits onto someone else. Like to see what this boy is doing in 20 years or so.

What is going through these people's minds????? I just don't understand how some one can commit such crimes and conflict so much pain on an innocent child..........

There has got to be a remedy to the sick mind of a Pedophile.

I sure hope that it's 130 years with NO Parole........

Knowing how the CA justice system works, that 130-year sentence is gonna be reduced for good behavior.

And before you know it, he's gonna be released on parole after serving just a few years.

You all remember the James Gardner story..

Yep, he'll probably be on work-release in a childcare center in less than 10.

Thank you CJ Lin for continuing the imbalanced reporting we have come to know and expect from the Daily News. Next time you are sent out on assignment, you should speak to everyone involved.
What you left out of your article is a very important point which is that there did not have to be a trial in this case. The general public assumes that if there is a jury trial in a criminal case, it must be because the defendant is insisting on his right to have a trial. In fact, as it was in this case, it is often the District Attorney's Office that insists on a jury trial in order to obtain the maximum punishment available for the defendant, irrespective of the anguish it will cause for the victims and their family.
As the San Diego District Attorney's Office understands, offers can be made in horrendous cases that will ensure that a defendant is never released from prison and spares the victims and their families from the ordeal of reliving the incident through a trial.
The young boy and his parents could have been spared the ordeal of a trial if the District Attorney made an offer that ensured that Mr. Alfelor would never have been released from prison. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office refused to make such an offer despite numerous requests by me and the other defense attorneys.
Instead, they chose to physically haul a scared, shaken boy into the courtroom in front of the jury forcing him to relive the harrowing experience once again.
