OMG Joe Feller must be having a stroke over this. That dreaded Walmart slipped one past him and his band of union thugs. Good going Walmat, can't wait to shop there.

So will there be another round of protests and legal action by concerned citizens to kill this business? What's good for Winco is good for Walmart right? Also, how much will Walmart spend before the store can be opened and make some money to pay taxes to the city? I'm sure someone remembers the millions invested, then wasted, at the old K-Mart location.

Great news! More choices and a new concept for Vallejo. I do hope they add some architectural interest to the outside of the building. Although I am not a regular WalMart shopper, I will check out this Neighborhood Market idea of theirs. Good location with plenty of parking and within city limits. Now if this trend to improve would continue on the same side of the street and include the tired looking former shopping center, Sonoma Blvd. would look much more interesting. Who does own this large parcel of prime land?

Wal-Mart is better than a empty building.

This is great news as I will forever remind the blue and orange oozers, and the penny pinchers that do not want section 8 housing in Vallejo yet welcome businesses that cater to the poor (and I guess cheap skates) that all Vallejos problems are solved with new business and new jobs. LOL! (t)urd enragement!

I give Raley's six months, our lack of City planning at work again. That Raley's already seems to have one foot in the grave.

@ Bald Fat Man in a Hula Fatty, do you actually know what a Hula is? If you did, you would not use that term as your handle. But let me enlighten you: Hawaiian native dance with intricate arm movements that tell a story in pantomime, usually danced to rhythmic drumming and accompanied by chanting... You have an odd way of trying to get your message across while attempting to insult others that you hope will pay attention to and read your nonsense. From wallowing in turdy sewage, insulting corpulent people and now a whole segment that loves the actual "Hula" and lifestyle, you can be relied on to spew and divide. Enragement my rear end, Dukie Boy! As is your MO, you very seldom have anything of value to add to the discussion at hand, why is that? Do division and the subsequent equally intelligent responses rock your boat? Poor soul!
