Yet a handful of ignorant science deniers keep bouncing around the Net pretending that Milankovitch's ice age cycles don't exist...or they repeatedly forget Milankovitch as you do, loudly pondering how these mysterious ice ages could possibly occur.

I am amazed at how some people read all they can about a paricular topic, taking other people's one sided view as law, refusing to look at the opposing side and then shove their "beliefs" down other people's throats and if they don't agree then they are an idiot. You can take any topic, whether you are for or against it, and find all the information you want slanted in one direction(Michael Moore movies are a perfect example)and call it gospel.

So who do we blame for the north american ice sheet melting millions of years ago?
It was 12,000 years ago, and the cause was change in orbital dynamics and the angle of incidence at different times of the year. Not the same subject. Call it a 'non-sequitur'.

You seem to be uninformed on all issues, not just recent climatology.

Some Russian scientists believe we are entering an ice age. Globull warming indeed! Salt used to be bad for you, now it is good for you. Are scientists like DR.s practiceing medicine, and science? Or is this justification to reduce the human population? For those of you that truly believe that humans are responsible for the Artic ice melt, help the world and quit exhaleing.

Since you've chosen to pick on Michael Moore, I assume you have much in common with the many conservatives here on Rednex whose denial of climate science is based on the assumption that it's only for political lefties.

This is not a matter of lay opinion. It's simply a matter of whether you accept the united judgement of ALL the world's major scientific academies and 98% of publishing climatologists, or not.

Extremely few lay people are in any position to argue the science, but only whether to trust the concerted opinion of nearly all scientists with expertise in this subject.

Put another way, if all the world's most expert oncologists said you almost certainly have lung cancer, but that you could save your life with inexpensive therapy if you act now, would you reject that judgement, listening to tobacco industry PR flacks instead?

AGW deniers believe Russian studies, rather than many more U.S. & world studies confirming AGW. Yet, AGW deniers accuse everyone else of being communist. AGW deniers like to shoot shotguns in many directions.

Actually I do not believe any of them. Can anyone tell us what percent CO2 has increased to cause the dire effects alleged to be occuring? You can take a picture of a swimning polar bear, but that doe's not mean all of the ice is gone. A really strange thing seems to occur in the polar ice cap, ice receeds in warmer months, and grows larger in colder months. Another mystery. I'm briefly holding my breath to help. But wait, I am also planting trees that seem to thrive on CO2.

Yes, we can reduce greenhouse gases. Just cap all erupting volcanos, prevent all forest and building fires, and use only nuclear energy.

I see, so you've added denial of climate science to the other three.
Climate science cannot be denied because it exists.
What can be challenged, is its accuracy and methodology.
I'll add your comment to my questionaire:
1. Name anyone who actually denies that climate changes?
2. Name anyone who denies that Earth is around 0.8ÂșC warmer than it was in 1850?
3. Name anyone who denies AGW has any warming effect at all?
4. Name anyone who denies climate science?

You know what they say about assume...makes an a** out of U and Me

First of all you didn't have to "put it another way" as if I weren't capable of comprehending your initial paragraph. Second, your comparison of an oncologist telling me I have lung cancer....uhm, there is a definitive test for lung cancer. Not the same thing. My point was that as you claim "98%" of all publishing blah blah blah say it is so, there are many that say it isn't. This is true for ANY GIVEN TOPIC. The only reason you know of the "98%" is because that is what media is allowing for you to see/hear. It is not politcally correct right now to deny global warming so if I had a big article I wanted published on "It Isn't So"..nobody would publish it. You would never hear about it. Fact is this particular topic "sells" and is the basis for big $$ all around and there is a lot that can be gained in certain circles from jumping on this bandwagon. The advertisers, media outlets, manufacturer's of products designed to help "stop" the global warming...I'm sure you see my point. Or maybe you don't. Not trying to be a jerk. Just trying to offer some insight as to another point of view. I try to keep an open mind and decide for myself and not soley go by what I read or hear on the news. Because if you think that what we are being told of "studies" and the like isn't filtered in some manner you should think again.

And yes, I picked on poor Michael Moore. Therefore I MUST be a conservative right wing tea bagger. Give me a break. The guys is a genious though and good for him. He made millions off of movies he basically shot on his handi-cam only giving you one side...HIS side.

Natural processes are accounted for in AGW theory. Its called balance of nature. Even topix AGW deniers know this. However, topix AGW deniers continue their desire to deceive by mentioning natural processes. It is man-made tagged CO2 isotopes from fossil fuels, long buried deep underground, that is elevating CO2 levels in the atmosphere.
