Great -

Now how about clearing The West Memphis Three and getting Damien off death row. New DNA evidence has cleared them as well, but it's apparently a big ball of politics that's keeping them in prison. Their case was high profile at the time, and their conviction has led to many promotions within the police department, appointments to the judicial bench, etc. They can't let them out now....how would that look?

If you aren't familiar with the West Memphis Three - visit WM3 dot org to read up on the case. 15 years spent in prison for crimes they didn't commit. DNA has even shown who the probable REAL murderer was.....

Please support the West Memphis Three!

I am not surprised. The police blew this case right from the beginning.
Now may her mother rest in peace.
Hopefully some day they may get the person that did this. Kind of scary, they are still out there.

Yep, the police were SO inept that Patsy had to go on CNN the day after putting Jon Benet in the ground to make sure everyone knew there was 'someone out there'. Why wouldn't you as a parent be ENRAGED and storming into the police station to make sure they had any possible information to HELp get this SOB that killed your daughter? Why hide behind your investigators whose real job was to keep your butt out of jail? Their lack of cooperation was instrumental in creating this fiasco.

Gee whiz, I'm sorry. How pathetic. These poor people lost their child, and their reputations, and all Boulder Police can say is "I'm sorry"?

Way too little, way too late. Now the real murderer has had twelve years of opportunity to do this to another child.

How ridiculous that it took them that long to examine the evidence. What on earth is wrong with this picture?

the mayor went on tv too and said "there's NO KILLER on the loose". I wonder why the Ramsey's didn't sue the city and instead focused on the tabloids? Didn't they want to clear their names? Wouldn't that start in their town and with their mayor? Didn't they want the killer caught and taken off the streets of Boulder? hahaha of course they did;)

>I wonder why the Ramsey's didn't sue the city ...

The Ramseys persistently tried to get a more vigorous investigation undertaken by a more experienced department. Part of their lawyer's negotiations involved reminding the Boulder city attorney that instead of going through the case files defending the city against a civil rights claim they could tranfer the case to the DA and continue on with the investigation.

The Ramseys were not interested in suing the BPD and the City of Boulder; they were interested in getting the intruder identified and arrested.

Such a sad case. May this poor little angel rest in peace, again with her Mom. I hope they find the one who really did it. No punishment is harsh enough for what was done to her.

they were certainly interested in suing writers and tabloids...their 'reputations' were tainted when they REFUSED to speak to police on that very day (and all the days to follow), and attempted to flee by calling the pilot one HALF HOUR after finding JBR dead...but you keep believing your fairytale, makes no difference:)

This is bullcrap. The child had been molested repeatedly over along period of time, based on the medical reports. If her parents didn't actually do it,they know who did and the mother went to her grave with the secret. This does not mean they did not do it, just that they got either got away with it, or allowed someone they knew to get away with it.

Yup - the bungled investigation is awful enough. And who IS this "person" that is supposedly the "owner" of the DNA evidence? This is a travesty - that poor kid.

Maybe it's the same person who did Nicole and Ron in? That person will never be found either.

It took 12 years to determine whether or not the DNA sample was collected according to protocol. And what good is the "sample"? The DNA anaylses should have exonerated JonBenet's family members; remember "half siblings" (from prior marriages) have NOT been assessed with comparisons. The breakdown here is a system; the tragedy is the loss of the girl. The reality? Who knows - my gut reaction is that SOMEONE (probably the father) knew who committed this heinous crime - and that man whom she called "Daddy" paid cash to HIDE the crook. What a crock of crap - this case won't be solved until SOMEONE makes an error - hopefully, the person(s) who murdered that little girl. She was ONLY SIX!

Kelly my dear and everyone else, the person that killed her is dead as well, The police did blow this completly, so what better out would be than to say the parents are cleared especially after the guilty one is gone as well, this case will NEVER get solved ever, so let it rest, the old lady is getting hers right now...
