"Solar power is making huge strides, they said, in part because of the way people are paying for it now. Not everyone has to front the large purchase cost of installing solar panels and then rake in the benefits over time, said Quayle Hodek, chief executive of Renewable Choice Energy in Boulder."

An example of institutionalization at its best. You can put 30K in the bank and get a 0.5% to 1% interest rate as the bank invests your money for their gain. You can put 30K on your roof in solar PV and decrease or eliminate your electric bill for life. Just 10 years ago, 30K Solar PV system was about 3 to 4 KW peak system installed. Now you can get some where around 10KW peak for 30K.

I will welcome any cost effective energy storage in that it will turn every use into base load use. Perfect for nuclear.

Excellent, more base load for nuclear to fill!

Improved storage making renewable energy more viable for mainstream energy consumption. May enable houses and cars to be less reliant on fossil fuels in the future.

Low cost storage will help nuclear even more than the unreliables since it will convert all usage to base-load usage. Nothing scaleable does base-load better or cheaper than nuclear.

Both Sweden and Ontario disagree with you. They both demonstrate that if you are trying to avoid coal, and don't have the US' artificially low NG prices, nothing beats nuclear except hydro, but hydro isn't scalable.

You are all nuts. Drill and frack, drill and frack. We have all the energy we need until something viable is developed. Go back to bed you red doper diaper babies.

it is very good for closed storage energy because this time we utilizes solar power and save the electricity.
