Whodunnit, what an eloquent illustration of what people who discredit victims like Nancy Krebs are doing when they disbelieve their accounts of the attrocities committed upon them. Just to think of the courage it must have taken for her to come public with her story and then to be villified for doing so Is IMO akin to pouring gasoline on the fire or more appropriately, like pouring salt in and open wound.
From MY perspective, sometimes it appears that some people prefer to allow such goings on to contiue rather accept what a victim says and try to find out if law enforcement and other high officials are not only covering up such activities but are actively involved in them.
I, for one, hope you continue your campaign to set people straight in their thinking and complacency -- yes, complacency in turning a blind eye to such activities but quickly on the attack when a victim comes forward.
I, however, believe that those who "automatically disbelieve" victims' accounts of what has happened to them are as bad as those here who agree by their skepticism that the multi-billiion dollar child porn industry is unreal, If that were true, then we should all just ignore any news accounts of hundreds being arrested for belonging to and participating in such activities. Calling victims like NK names like "fruit loops" only gives support to the sex ring operators by making victims afraid or reluctant to come forward with their stories. JMO

"As I write this review, the nation is once again suffering through another moral catastrophe at the hands of trusted individuals and institutions that should be above reproach, in this case, the infamous Sandusky trial at Penn State and his alleged sexual abuse of children. Unfortunately, the story of systemic and institutionalized child sexual abuse is becoming something of a mainstay for early 21st century American culture, as evidenced perhaps most visibly by the numerous Church related scandals. But child sexual abuse is not just confined to schools or churches, and scandals of an even more sinister nature -- that of well-organized child prostitution and pornography rings -- have rocked not just the United States but Great Britain, Mexico, Belgium and other countries in recent years. The stories disturb us to the core, because the accused are not social outsiders and sketchy men in tattered trench coats, but men and women of wealth and power. Perhaps the most infamous case of a well-organized pedophile ring in the United States is the notorious "Franklin Credit Union Scandal" from the 1980s and 90s, the details of which have captured the interest of countless Internet websites and forums over the past 15 or so years. A quick online search reveals hundreds of results for the topic, though one will find a recycling and rehash of the improbable events and players of the story which pitted disposable "throw away" children of, in some cases, dubious character, versus well-known men and women in positions of power related to business, finance, politics, law enforcement and the judicial system itself.

~~
Mr. Bryant leaves us in his epilogue with some disturbing threads at which to tug; the blackmailing of political figures, organized ritual abuse, media complicity in covering up such scandals, and even the always controversial topic of Satanism. But the facts speak for themselves, regardless of how much the facts confuse our worldviews and repulse our decency. A 1995 study from The Journal of Psychohistory notes that in 1992, five child abuse hotlines reported about 23,000 callers claiming ritual sexual abuse. It is a common assertion among skeptics and debunkers that "there has never been a single case of ritual sexual abuse" documented in the United States, yet this and other academic studies cited by Mr. Bryant present evidence to the contrary. One does not have to dig too deeply to find cases of alleged "Satanic" abuse, such as the Presidio and West Point scandals, nor does one have to dig very deeply to find out the dubious nature of front organizations such as the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, an organization whose founders have close ties to the intelligence community and in some cases outright support of pedophilia (cf. Ralph Underwager), and whose pseudo-scientific theories have infested court cases with so-called expert witnesses. It is from such individuals that the notion of "satanic panic" entered our awareness, and it is by such tactics that these assertions can be ridiculed and dismissed. But catchphrases and misdirects are not substitutes for fact and truth.
In confronting these issues, we must resist the desire to be lazy and accept at face value the two minute gloss of the media. We must take the time to set aside preconceived notions and let the facts speak to us. Though many, many people wish to conceal the facts from us, those facts that make our way to our consciousness must work upon not just our thinking but upon our morality and ultimately upon our will, so that we may be encouraged and fortified to do the right thing. We can only do this by at all time cleaving to the truth and eschewing all forms of half-truths and lies, and there is no better place to start than with Mr. Bryant's courageous and excellent work.

Franklin case proves that no matter how much evidence LE might have in organized pedophile cases involving elite perps, chances of obtaining justice are slim to nil. It's far more likely that, for a variety of reasons ranging from complicity, coercion, intimidation and threats, to blackmail to just plain evil, officials in these cases are far more likely to cover up for these criminals than they are to seek justice. In the case of Franklin, rather than going after the perps THEY WENT AFTER THE VICTIM WITNESSES.

"Personally, I think every adult American should read this book. Americans have been conditioned to think they are different - that this kind of thing only happens in other places. Americans have been conditioned to trust the word of officials in government and law enforcement without corroborating evidence, or even when these same officials refuse to let Americans see the evidence. They want you to trust but not verify. This book is one of those pieces of work that shows why such trust is misplaced."

I went to the link and was astonished and amazed at the critiques posted by those who have read the book. Almost all praised the courage and tenacity of the author who is said to have spent 7 years in writing his account of the scandal. The overall general conclusion of the critics can be summed up in this brief statement:

"Finally, someone took the time to do their homework to let others know of what happened...and continues to happen. The author was articulate and based most findings on substantiation as opposed to hearsay. It was an amazing read and I would recommend this book to anyone who is tired of living in a corrupt society."

Please note the words, "AND CONTINUES TO HAPPEN..."

I, for one, intend to read this and the other books recommended, so thank you, "whodunnit" for bringing this remarkable revelation to the attention of those of us who believe that these goings on "continue to happen", even now.

"Mr. Bryant has done an excellent, courageous, and painstaking job of documenting and exposing the darkest form of organized crime that continues to operate in North America, virtually unchecked.

If you don't want to learn more about the systematic terrorization, enslavement, sexual assault, degradation, torture, and murder of fellow US citizens - particularly children - in individual and group formats; this book is not for you. If you do not want to learn very ugly truths about the continuing cover-up of such criminal activities and human rights atrocities; this book is not for you. And if you do not want to be troubled by the awareness that fellow humans have suffered in the worst possible ways while you've enjoyed your comparatively safe and peaceful life; this book is not for you.

If, however, you have a courageous heart and are ready to learn about the worst imaginable (and unimaginable) acts of evil that fellow citizens in our "civilized" society have been performing against more vulnerable humans; The Franklin Scandal may very well become your primer.

Similar to selecting a small sample from a larger culture, Mr. Bryant puts the communities of Franklin and Omaha, Nebraska under his virtual microscope and exposes the intricate web of connections between groups, organizations, businesses, and individual players that have enabled the darkest forms of organized crime to flourish in those communities, and far beyond the borders of of those communities, for decades.

NOT SURPRISINGLY, most of the perpetrators named in the Franklin Scandal and in its predecessor, The Franklin Cover-Up, have yet to be prosecuted.

Equally unsurprising, some of their former victims continue to suffer in terrible ways for daring to identify them and say what they've done. Those survivors, who are named by Mr. Bryant, are my personal heroes, although I suspect they do not view themselves as such. Each one has paid a terrible price for standing his or her ground and refusing to recant their stories and testimonies. For years, I've been horrified by what these brave, and deeply wounded and betrayed, souls have continued to suffer. The politically driven retaliation they've experienced is remarkably similar to stories of survivors of Communist Gulags.

I have a dream that I'd like to share with you, if I may. Although I'm possibly deluded to think my dream could ever become solid reality, here are the details of my hopeful dream.

- Top-ranking government officials publicly admit - in open congressional hearings and reports to the public through the mainstream media - that such dark forms of organized crime do exist, and that some of the involved perpetrators have been high-ranking politicians and other powerfully influential citizens.

- Former victims of these perpetrators become safe and protected enough to name the perpetrators in court, in the mainstream media, and before Congress in open hearings; without fearing vicious retaliation against ourselves and our loved ones -as has already been experienced by Paul Bonacci, Alicia Owens, and other outspoken Extreme Abuse survivors.

- The US government authorizes AND FUNDS effective, respectful, long-term rehabilitative services and related resources for Paul, Alicia, and many thousands of other Extreme Abuse survivors - with no strings attached.

- The public is sufficiently educated and energized to actively work towards ensuring that all forms of organized crime are exposed and stopped in their tracks - once and for all.

Thank you Mr. Bryant for helping to lift the lid of secrecy off the darkest part of our modern society. Thank you for taking my dream one step closer to becoming a solid reality. God bless you for your courage and selfessness.

Thanks for the link, Candy. The FBI should be lauded for their work in putting a stop to this horrid industry.

I do, however, feel that what NK said should not be dismissed without further investigation, especially in view of so many situations that fit so nicely into the puzzle. My greatest concern is why the BPD notified Krebs' relatives of her location when they knew she was terrified of their knowing her whereabouts. With such blatent dissregard for her concerns by the BPD, it's no wonder that so many victims are reluctant to come forward. When they can't trust law enforcement, how can they trust anyone?

Correct, and nothing has come of any information NK offered in the 17 years of this case. It seems to me that if anything was there it would have been found then or since then. Silence pretty much sums up the information she tried to peddle.

Hi LE:D
I was going to say the same thing..crickets after her attempt failed. Cops called her family because they had a missing person report and she needed finding. She was well into her 30's, so she must have had a mental problem if a 30 something woman can't handle herself or come and go as she pleased. If there was a sex ring connected to her, I don't think they'd draw attention to themselves by calling her a missing person and coordinating with cops. LOL She didn't tell cops 'please don't call my mother, she's part of a sex ring', she went back and left again! A sex ring would have tied her to a stump after her jaunt to Colorado, not let her ever leave again. Such BS.

1. Nancy has said that BPD did NOT thoroughly investigate her claims and BPD has shown the public NOTHING to refute her accusation.

2. High Boulder officials have been accused of being part of the ring. Believing the word of officials who are or should be 'under the unbrella' of suspicion is rather or exactly like allowing a murderer to investigate the crime for which he is accused of committing.

Stop being so dangerously naive.and stop barking like good little Pavlov's dogs every time someone mentions a group of rich people might have been involved in a criminal conspiracy.

Well stated, whodunnit!

However, I question the use of the word, "naive". There is a far better way to describe all the clamor raised by these posters when anyone mentions a "criminal conspiracy" among local, state and federal officials. I have to wonder how Mary Lacy could get by with writing her letter to the Ramseys clearing them of any involvement when she knew the GJ's ruling.

And that's just for starters...

Very true. I was on these forums back in 2008, posting as 'et al' and I got the exact same reaction back then from some of the exact same posters. How could they sit here for YEARS ON END using the same tactics---ridicule, piling on, willfully 'misinterpreting' evidence etc--- over and over and over again, specifically discouraging discussions of NK if it wasn't somehow an organized effort?

As for Mary Lacy 'getting by' with writing a letter exonerating the Ramsey's when she knew they had been indicted, well, she, like other officials, thought that indictment would never see the light of day. Since it has seen the light of day, it has exposed the deplorably deceitful Boulder legal community as a bunch of cover up artists. Now why would OFFICIALS like the DA---and not just Lacy but Hunter too--- cover up for the Ramseys?.

Uh, the same way you are singing your same song? The difference is, the opposition to your conspiracy la la la, is based on the evidence as it has been released over the last 17 years. It seems you are still asking the same elementary questions, just asking them over and over in hopes of getting a different answer or reaction. It probably isn't going to happen.

A truly naïve statement was your statement above where you said:
"1. Nancy has said that BPD did NOT thoroughly investigate her claims and BPD has shown the public NOTHING to refute her accusation."

Might I ask why you pop up out of nowhere to criticize my post, yet you must believe it's OK for L_E to say things like

"Uh, the same way you are singing your same song?"
and
"What does NK know besides fantasy? NOTHING!"

Or maybe you're trying to get me banned again? This is all so familiar...

But I asked a legitimate question. Since L_E asked, "What does NK know besides fantasy? NOTHING", Perhaps I should have just asked for proof of her question/answer.
