8 degrees F warming within 88 years? Insane. That's total global catastrophe. Worse, this merely corroborates the upper-range forecast from IPCC AR4, suggesting that the IPCC has once again been far too shy in its predictions.

Here's a better write-up, with a link to the Trenberth/Fasullo study:

Thanks.

It's outrageous to deny the looming threat. I saw "Skyfall." Maybe there should be a 007 movie about this threat.

Al Gore was not enough.

Morning temps have risen the most. With our Pacific Northwest precipitation increases(tho AGW drives the jet stream far to the summer north), here at 48 deg latitude, & the season into later November, our mornings are still warm, rarely below freezing(presently 37degF & rain).

Higher temperatures to come......with the years to come.

The Koch Brothers would make perfect Bond movie villains. However, the problem is that the carbon biz features a hundred other villains of equal slime, spread over forty nations, operating in loose concert. How does Bond dispatch them all?

As for Gore, I see him more as another film stock character: the pudgy, well-meaning, upper-crust liberal who always manages to muck up everything.

But is it a warmer cold AND a snowier snowy? Adjust for age. I loved the cold & snow when I was a kid, but I don't like either one, now.

Florida will really run out of quite a bit of space in 200 years. Free divers might like the deeper reefs.
