I would like to say I am very happy that Mattt Hunter was finally caught.I was ripped off for 2199.00 from an extended warrenty back from 1-07.I was told that if I didn't use it I would get the full refund back. I felt betrayed and nobody would help. I did turn them in to the BBB. They kept giving me the run around. I am very happy to see that he will recieve jail time.

We were victims of H-P Funding. We were on a bi-weekly program for both our car loans and our mortgage. They failed to pay and caused us to incur $300.00 worth of overdraft charges. The Bank only refunded us 1/4 of the loss and H-P Funding denied they had any responsibility for what happened. We cancelled all of our business with them. We also had warranties and had to pester them to give us the paperwork so we could use the services of the warranties. We plan to contact the Consumer Hotline. We are glad that something has finally been done in this matter.

I was scammed from Matt Hunter for over $2500 back in April '07. Seeing that picture of him in cuffs has made my year.

It's nice to see that scammers get their comeuppance. He was a shady guy and all his financial dealings should be carefully reviewed. I would even go so far as to look into the banks he did side business with.

Matt got me too, but I hunted him for months. I hope he never gets out. He also sold cars and had complaints against him for that. I wish I had called channel 4 to help me because I lost a lot of sleep over this.

These people deserve what they get BUT Al Vaughters still twists the news to make the story more than it is-and once again against WHITE people-apparently BLACKS never do anything worth reporting by this biggot reporter.Hope you all read this and call a guy called Chris at News $ He is the idiot that hired Vaul;ters after he was thrown out of Chicago as a fictional reporter. Lets get this trash merchant of the air and get someone that reports the truth in BLACK and WHITE

I am well aware of Matt Hunter and was a victim myself. He was a self-rightous talker that had nothing but excuses. My mind is blown away that so many people out there were scammed. On the video he dosnt seem so confident and when hes' in prison lets see him talk himself out of a situation with the "big boys" upstate!!
Please Judge set an example!!!

I got scammed by Matt Hunter in January 2006. I contacted both the AG and the BBB back then. It is too bad no one followed up back then, things may have never gotten this far or affected so many people. I even went so far as to file a fraud complaint with Key Bank, as Matt forged my signature on a loan document that I never saw. Key Bank should not be getting such positive press. I complained to them that the woman notarizing documents for Matt was doing so without having the person appear before her. I'll tell you, I have never felt as good as I did when I saw Matt on TV in that courtroom in his track pants and t shirt and in handcuffs. He didn't look quite so cocky and self assured. I hope he can't post bail before his trial and I hope he spends many years locked up.

I am so glad that they got caught.
They got me and my friend also.
They attached warranties to loans and said that the only way that we could get a low interest rat was to do it that way.
Also we were told that my friend was a co-signer but when we got to Key Bank we found out that she was the sole borrower.
That in itself I believe is against the law.
Matt told us that they also provided Credit Counseling and all I would have to do is call.
They proivide nothing!
I had to call at least 10 times before I got the copy of my contract.
I wanted to cancel my warranty but was told it would cost $200.00 and would not be removed from my loan.
I would have to wait for reimburessment until the end of my loan. These are more ways that they make you keep the warranty.
And collect their money.
I am so glad that these two were caught.
And to John Paz..... I bought three cars from you when you worked at reputible Car Dealerships.
I trusted YOU.
YOU should be ashamed!!
I think that Key Bank should be investigated also.

so glad they finally got caught. I wish I would have contacted channel 4 instead of doing all the leg work myself. Matt avoided me after I signed with him. I don't know if I receieved all that was coming to me and it's too bad there are others they may never get anything. May he rot in jail.

MATT HUNTER AND JOHN PAZ ARE ONE IN THE SAME. DON'T LET JOHN'S YEARS OF AUTO SALES SERVICE CONVINCE YOU HE IS AN HONEST BUSINESS MAN. HE IS A GREETY CONARTIST JUST LIKE MATT. THEY MADE A GREAT TEAM SCAMMING INDIVIDUALS. I WITNESSED MATT'S TACTICS MANY A TIMES. ALSO, I AM POSITIVE THAT WARRARTY COMPANIES HAD SOME KNOWLEDGE OF
MATT & JOHN'S DOINGS THEY JUST KEPT DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM AS LONG AS THEY WERE BEING PAID ON SOME OF THE FEW LEGITIMATE WARRANTIES AND I STRESS FEW. THE WARRANTY COMPANIES SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AS WELL.
THE ORIGINAL NAME OF THE COMPANY WAS HUNTER & ASSOCIATES AND THEN HUNTER FUNDING. I THINK THEY KEPT CHANGING THE NAME OF THEIR COMPANY TO AVOID GETTING CAUGHT. JOHN CAME INTO THE COMPANY WHEN IT WAS CALLED HUNTER-FUNDING WELL AWARE OF THE BUSINESS PRACTICES OF MATT AND LEARNED THEM JUST THE SAME.

I think John Paz used to be honest.... a very , very long time ago.
Sad thing is because I heard his name it made me feel more comfortable when learning about HP Funding. How wrong I was.
Now when it's too late and I definitely know now that he and Matt Hunter are both slimes.
I just wish that there was something that all of us who were scammed could recooup
Something from them for doing what they did.
I think we are all entitled to some kind of
Settlement either from the two Scum Bags, the Warranty Company or Key Bank...I'm not so sure that Key Bank is innocent in all of this either.
They had complaints about them.
I complained to them and I was told they stopped dealing with them.
That was back in 2005.
I wonder if thats true.
My car payment is coming up and it sickens me to think that I was scammed into this loan.
I did get up to leave Key Bank once I saw what they had done, but the person who was supposed to be a "Co-signer" not the Borrower stopped me and said it might be a good deal.
I should have kept going!
