Raptor, we ALWAYS have a choice.

Some of them are VERY tough to make, but after much thought we make them anyway.

Cynic, I have three things to say:

A dog is only as well-behaved as its master
Practice what you preach
and
Train ye your progeny to go upright in the world.

Blessed Yule!

That doesnít mean the dog wonít get shot. Itís illegal to shoot the owner if the dog comes over. Iíll have to settle for shooting the dog.

Abalone. Trap the dog. When the owner comes on your property looking for the dog.......well, you know.

Depending on how close you live to your neighbor and if a responding deputy is sympathetic to your situation or not you could be charged with discharging a firearm to close to road or house.

Look home many times in Florida a person is threatened by an alligator and shoots it and a State Wildlife Officer issues a summons based on it being an endangered spices when the gators are in fact not endangered and are only kept on the list because people don't know how to tell the difference between them and the endangered saltwater croc.

I love Florida compared to many states but we still have a very ignorant state government at all levels.

I already knew your answer and no one (hopefully) will doubt you plus if the homeowner has property insurance you can sue and the company will be forced to pay the claim and drop them from coverage.

We have massive unemployment and a hugh problem with balance of trade.
We have to compete on a global scale , that is the reality of todays world.
No one will be worse of with an education but ignorance is a cost to society and self.
We do not have the jobs to support the population so just having a skill does not mean one can support one's self.
Who made you the judge of what "todays world" is?

"having a skill does not mean one can support one's self."
Having an education does not mean one can support one's self either.

I will not pay for someones elses eduaction. That is not why I work!!!!!!!!!

Smiling and wagging his tail wildly is not a threatening manner.

Dogs do not smile.

Iíve had friendly dogs wander into my yard and they donít get shot. My neighbor has an aggressive pitbull.

Sure they do. I wish we could post pics on here, because I have one of my husky/wolf mix with the biggest goofy smile on her face I had just given her a new rawhide to chew on. She was laying on the floor with it between her front paws and looked up at the camera with a definite grin on her face.

Yes, they DO smile. My avatar used to be of my Golden Retreiver smiling as he laid in a pile of freshly raked fall leaves with his favorite toy, the frisbee. Later I will post that picture on my website and you can judge for yourself.

Only people who don't have dogs would make a statement like that. BTW, dogs also cry and frown. They get excited, scared, angry, depressed and embarassed. They feel all the same emotions we do.

You can post pictures here. Go to my profile page, and you can see some of those that I have posted at the bottom right where it says "See Raptor in MI photos."

To post pictures, you will have to sign in to a "local forum" (which can be any town you choose) and upload them to that site. I picked Troy, MI because there were no other pictures there and I didn't want mine to blend in with other peoples photos.

I'd love to see your smiling dog.
