Prospective chief charged with assault

Salisbury's selectmen are withholding an offer to the man they selected for police chief because he has been charged with simple assault.

While it may be embarrassing or hurtful to his family, this is a public office. I have no idea of the circumstances or if he was guilty or not but I do know public officers bring their background and morales into practice. This affects the public....and from the poster from Belmont....people do care and so should you. Law enforcement is NOT always shady either.
